Protonix and thrombocytopenia

Common Questions and Answers about Protonix and thrombocytopenia

protonix

I have been taking Trazadone and Celexa for several years and more recently, Protonix, for stomach pain/ possible ulcer. I am also using Aldera for an outbreak (first time) of genital warts. I went to my doctor several weeks ago complaining of severe lower abdominal cramping, epigastric pain after eating and pain in my upper right quandrant. No change in bowels I had a CT with contrast performed of my abdomen and pelvis.

Thank you for the info. I wish we didn't know what this stuff meant. :) I was at the dr the other day and she wrote thrombocytopenia (sp?) on my chart and I'm like "oh yeah, I know what that means." I remember a time when that would have been greek to me. 2004 and you're still HCV clear? That's wonderful news, but rare isn't it? From the reading I did, it made it sound like the new liver would be infected immediately. I'm really happy for you that you're doing so well!

like you dallas i have leukeamia and hep. c, also thrombocytopenia, hyper active parathryoid, and norepinepherin storms.
After a regimen of Prednisone and Imuran my platelets did not recover and I was still having fatigue and bruising. An ultrasound revealed an enlarged spleen and liver and my RA still kept treating me for just the Lupus, which I am ANA positive and have the Lupus criteria. Needless to say I changed RA's in August and she jumped on the suspect of the liver being the major culprit for the platelets.
I also had an autoimmune disorder years ago Autoimmune Thrombocytopenia and steroids cleared it up in about 6 weeks. They keep saying the steroids should give her energy and that they in effect make you feel better anyway but it’s the morphine, vomiting and tiredness that worries me. She can only work two days a week and then is physically exhausted. Someone mentioned Autoimmune Hepatitis and the symptoms do match this too so hopefully will get some answers on Monday. God Bless.
