A little over a year ago I started having some stomach/colon problems. I had tons of gurgling in my stomach and colon area and a general feeling of having trapped gas/air/bloating all over. My bowel movements started changing. One day they would be shaped fine, the next day they would be kind of skinny, then one day they would be weird puzzle shapes and kind of like diarrhea, then the next day diarrhea, then back to normal. No particular order. This went on for two months.

t think i have any liver issues, and he said you would feel pain, and enlarged liver, and other things like jaundice, and elevated billirubin. He felt my stomach and liver area, and didnt think i had any liver issues.
Last night i went back to the hospital, after having some severe pain in the left side, they didnt want to do another CT since they said it was normal, they did an Abd x-Ray and said everything looked good, and my liver enzymes were normal again.
And that alcoholic hepatitis, and cirrhosis are late stages. And they were not worried about my liver, since the all the liver function tests were good. And they would have seen something on the tests, and the liver would have been inflamed.
Since i stopped drinking, i have had periods of fatigue that come and go, and very tired, and just dont feel right. I have the burning pain on my left side, which they think is gastritis, or GERD, and have been following a bland diet since it happened.

Painkillers and sleeping tablets will not cause Cirrhosis of the liver. Other medications like certain anti-fungals can. Certain medications can cause further harm if you already have some form of liver disease.
In Total liver Function Laboratory Blood Test results (Alanine Amino Transferase Serum) conducted for Total Liver Function shows presence of low ALT or low SGPT levels of 14 . This result is quite below the range limits specified in the lab. test report which is between 17-63 .. I was sent to a GI and scoped, stating esophagitis and small hiatal hernia. I was placed on Protonix once a day. I felt better, so went off, only to have a year of on and off again chest pain/breathing issues and on/off PPI medication. During this year, I have also had a full cardiac workup and full pulmonary function test, both of which were perfect. A few months ago I was sent back to the GI and he wanted another scope. This time he said GERD and to stay on medication.
I HAD A BLOOD TEST 2 WEEKS AGO AND MY VITAMIN D LEVEL IS LOW AND MY LIVER ENZYMES ARE HIGH,SINCE I DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL AND I HAVEN'T TAKE ANY TYLENOL LATELY MY DOC RECOMEND TO HAVE ANOTHER BLOOD TEST,WHICH WAS DONE LAST WEEK,IS EVEN WORST THE ENZYMES LEVEL,I'M HAVING A LIVER ULTRASOUND TOMORROW,I'M WONDERING WHAT CAN I EXPECT? AND IF THE MEDS I'M TAKING HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY LIVER?
I take Protonix to control my gerd. An allergist recommended this and it does seem to make a difference. Does anyone else take these types of meds to control their gerd and, ultimately, help with asthma? I cannot get Protonix any longer through my health insurance and was wondering if someone took something else as effective. Prilosec and Nexium do not have as good as effect as Protonix for me. Thanks.
Hello everyone. So a little backstory first.
I was diagnosed with Graves disease back in 2013-2014. I was put on the methimazole + beta blocker treatment. I went into remission around 2016, when all my labs were normal. So I stopped the meds.
Then, March of 2018, Graves was back with a vengeance. All the telltale signs were back, the excessive heat and heart palpitations, I went back to the doctor and back on drug treatment. This time, however, the meds doesn't work whatsoever.
I went in to my doctor today and he had more blood drawn to check on the liver function again. He also put me on a course of antibiotics and told me that he wants to follow up in a week to determine if a biopsy is needed. I still have some dull discomfort between my shoulder blades and they were never able to tell me what caused the pain to begin with. Can lymphoma manifest in the liver? and can liver problems cause lymph nodes to swell over the clavicle? Any ideas?
