I have been seeing my PM Doc for 5 years and about 9 months agi he stated drug testing me. He finds everything in my system that he is prescribing but he does a drug screen on my every 2 months which I think is insane. Also, 2 out of 6 drug test came back positive for THC. In addition, he has started to adjust my medications like crazy and it is causing me to be in more pain because he cut my Hydrocodone from 240 a month to 180 and my Soma from 90 a month to 30.

The Dr gave me Nexium, but I was still getting upper stomach pain and pressure in the chest an back. I was switched to Protonix and it seemed to help with the upper stomach pain right under the breastbone. I'm taking two pills a day. Does anyone know how long Protonix takes to work? I was told that some PPI's could take 4 to six weeks to take affect.

I have been to the hospital twice with two ekgs done normal and a lot of blood work normal I have bad shoulder pains leg pains arms ache and neck hurts when I drink or eat anything my chest hurts and my back hurts can stress and gets cause this I get headaches daily and the pain in shoulders and arms daily

I agree with Mollyrae. I doubt anything you are taking effected your Drug Screen results. We all wish we knew why they are often inaccurate. I have seen statistics that claim the inaccurate rates are as high as 60-70%. We have many ppl that post on this forum that have experienced inaccurate tests. I am sorry that this has happened to you. I certainly wish I had better ansers for you. What will be the consequences of the failed drug testing? That would be my concern.

I thought it might be the Ativan, and it was. But getting off that drug was a nightmare. And to this day, my tummy is sensitive to all sorts of foods, usually can't eat a big meal. Good thing you're going off it under your doctor's guidance, and you should also notice a big change in your thirst and any indigestion you have. I'm older, so you may not have the withdrawals I had, but if they show up crashing through your door, hang in and stay in close touch with your doc.

I borrowed one of her percoset that are 10 milligrams. I went to the doctor a couple days later and had to do a random urine drug screening. I am scared to death now. I am currently taking adderall, how will this affect an upcoming drug screen for possible job placement?

I have no history of bad anxiety and racing heart like this.. So I decided to stop taking the Protonix...the last time i took it was thursday and i still feel like im in hell.... You would think I am detoxing from some other hard core drug and I havent taken anything else.. I am still so naseous, gagging, stomach pains, heart palps..and I am def not pregnant or anything like that so I cant find any other cause for all of this.. Is there anything i can do to get this medicine out of my system.

I take Protonix to control my gerd. An allergist recommended this and it does seem to make a difference. Does anyone else take these types of meds to control their gerd and, ultimately, help with asthma? I cannot get Protonix any longer through my health insurance and was wondering if someone took something else as effective. Prilosec and Nexium do not have as good as effect as Protonix for me. on a typical drug screen what are all of the drugs they are testing for? opiates,thc ect. Im saying typical because I believe its only a 6 screen drug test.

I am now finding that I am very nauseous and sometimes feel like I may throw up after taking this drug. Does anyone know if this is dangerous for anyone with my issues to take this medication? Ive heard that when you have the baby at the hospital they drug screen you. What sort of drug screen is it? Urine? Blood? I havent smoked marijuana in a while but im still curious as to whether or not I need to be worried.

I came off of Imdur 60 mg twice a day and a nitro patch. It was working but now I get real bad heartburn and my GERD (acid reflux) is back. Has any one had a similar experience? Here is a listing of my meds. Any help appreciated.

He explained that the test that would look for ANY of the DMDs would have to be specifically ordered, are very expensive and there is no way that during a regular drug screening these would show up in this test. He also told me a bunch more, all in medical terms that I pretty much have forgotten since I wasn't taking notes, but it had to do with proteins, and most of the dmds are a variation of stuff naturally found in our bodies, anyway.

If I remember right I was called and asked about the prescription and had to tell the person who was checking the drug screen about my prescription and gave them the pharmacy information and they just double checked either with the pharmacy that it was mine or they called the doctor to make sure it was prescribed to me. I never had to explain to my place of employment why I was taking it. It is none of their business, it is your private health information.

When I first started on pantoprazole 6 or 8 years ago, it started working for me from the first day. About a year ago I complained to my Doc that I was getting heartburn, etc, too often again, and he upped my dose to 2 pantoprazole per day, which barely improved things, hense the scope.

Hi from what I understand protonix is an rx while prilosec is over the counter meds...... so I do believe that the protonix is stronger.I am not a dr, just going on what I do know, I know both r PPI and work much the same way.....Ur dr should be able to say y he changed ur meds...everyone is different and react to the meds differently....maybe bcuz the prilosec dtopped working instead of changing meds he should check to see y u r making so much acid. I have noticed mine cycles....

the dilemma I've found myself in has been causing me a lot of anxiety and I am in need of some input. last week I went to my pain management doctor for my check up and to get a refill on my meds. he did a drug screen on me and everything came up negative except I was "presumed positive" for cocaine.
