U just might change your diet to a Lowcarb one, have u looked into a naturepathic dr to help u heal your Liver in a natural way? are u on any diabetic med's or any other med's? I myself am on pharmacutical meds, but I have heard so much informaion that is natural for help with your disease, thats why I am asking theses questions.
I have no history of bad anxiety and racing heart like this.. So I decided to stop taking the Protonix...the last time i took it was thursday and i still feel like im in hell.... You would think I am detoxing from some other hard core drug and I havent taken anything else.. I am still so naseous, gagging, stomach pains, heart palps..and I am def not pregnant or anything like that so I cant find any other cause for all of this.. Is there anything i can do to get this medicine out of my system.
Since having quadruple bypass a few mos ago, I experience chest pressure and sometimes burning in my chest/upper abdomen and jaw pain when my blood sugar is 80 or lower. Sometimes it happens if it 150 or higher too. I've been cleared as far as cardiac. I take Protonix to protect my stomach from the aspirin I have to take. Does anyone else have this issue and what causes it? 80 is really not low blood sugar.
I would also recommend cutting out caffeine and sugar from your diet and make sure you take a multi vitamin. And get out and take walks if you can. Alone or with a friend. Hope you feel better soon! Let us know how you're doing. You're going to be fine!
Following a pretty serious heart situation my blood is monitored and closely controlled every two weeks to make sure I have the proper balance. When a supplement is needed, it is prescribed. I think I'm lucky, I'm told I get 1000's of PVC's and don't notice them. In my case, they are harmless and unrelated to my heart blockages. I've had them all my life, and I'm an old man. My heart attacks, I very definitely noticed those symptoms!
It is a steroid, and all steroids affect the body in many ways. They alter blood sugar levels, for example, and affect the adrenal glands. Inhaled steroids are far less likely to cause these problems. If your physician thought you required this you MUST have an emergency albuterol sulfate inhaler on hand. Have the albuterol on hand, avoid dust and allergins, pay attention to eating habits for the acid reflux, and give things a try without the symbicort.
I ALSO HAVE TINGLING IN BOTH ARMS TO THE POINT WHERE THEY GO TO SLEEP.THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE IN ANY POSITION THEY JUST GO, AND FOR THE TREMORS I ALSO HAVE THEM,WHERE MY WHOLE BODY WILL SHAKE (ALTHOUGH I AM SEMI AWARE) FOR ABOUT 2-4 MINUETS AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHATS CAUSING EITHER, I HAD A STROKE IN JUNE 2002 AM A 47/F.
Since two weeks ago, I increased dosage to two times daily (40mg). At the same time, in October, my blood sugar read a little high 114, and I have been working on bringing it down to normal levels. I now exercise 6x a week for an hour and eat a low fat, low calorie diet. I just read, however, that protonix can cause hyperglycemia. I am thinking that's the last thing I want to take while I am trying to reduce my blood sugar, even if it only occurred in 1% of people in the study.
I seen a doctor and my echocardiogram showed my heart was fine. Blood test showed to be normal with slightly elavated sugar levels and cholestrol. I first thought I was having a stroke but my doctor seems to believe it is due to stress. I am having a pvc ?. Anyone else with these same symptoms?
I am a smoker who is about to quit as I just received some scary news from a cardiologist that one of the artieries in my heart is 50% blocked, but I feel confident that once I quit the smoking and begin to exercise again and lower my rather massive stress load, I can expect to be around for a good many more years. Here's the question: Many years ago I was diagnosed with a fairly mild case of GERD.........
2005 - Quit drinking after a brief relapse and sober ever since. 2005 to 2010 - ALL bloodwork normal and extremely healthy. Blood pressure 120/70 , low chloreseral, normal sugar, normal liver panels every 6 months. In the last month, I've been having some mild discomfort on the right side and one episode of acute pain that lasted 15 minutes. Stool and urine normal. Some loss of appetite. Depressed, may just be from the situation or may have some physical cause. Very irritable.
he has been experiencing extreme chest pains for last 2 months. when they started he went to er (multiple times), they did blood work, xray, and ekg everything came out normal. they referred him to a cardiologist, which did a heart cath, and chest cat scan. also came back normal. the cardiologist referred him to a gastrologist which did the scope down the throat. everything was fine. the gastro dr. decided he wanted to try to put him on elival (up to 50 mg a night.
As for peg/riba, my GI prescribed 6 months (the entire expected tx) all at the same time (as well as scripts for protonix and massage therapy). I get calls from one of his nurses letting me know blood results and whether or not to continue injections for the next 4 weeks at a time. Multiple medical problems are difficult to manage and the docs/nurses are not helping when they make obtaining meds hard to get and more expensive.
Tests showed that protein levels in were too high, potassium too low, pallate count low, and blood sugar high... i have already had an edoscopy and ultrasound.everything seemed normal Do you have a diagnosis; i would really appreciate it..ive tried everything..
In August 2010 had a 4 week course of antibiotics and developed horrid acid taste, stabbing pain in middle of chest and back. Had endoscopy and esophageal mamonetry and was diagnosed with esophageal spasms. Had a botox shot and was put on 60 mg of dexilant for what I was told was a tight esophageal sphincter and the opposite of reflux. Dexlilant increased the thickness of my saliva and felt generally not well but could tolerate. Went to a new doctor in 2011 at a major teaching hospital.
I started back on the Protonix tonight. I went and drank Malox to see if that would control the reflux better and minimize the spasms so I can sleep. I am so past frustrated I just don't know what to do anymore.
She has a history of migrains and blood sugar related headaches. She's hypoglycemic. She has a constant weight that is normal for her size and it fluctuates very little. Doctors have done upper endoscopy, ultra sounds, ct scan, nucular medicine scans of gallbladder and liver functions, & blood work. Kaiser seems to be unable to diagnose her and sent her home about 6 weeks ago to "wait out the symptoms" while taking belladonna, gabapentine, and fenergan for pain.
I am 61. I've had numerous blood tests done, no diabetes. I take Xanax (usually 1/2 dose of .5 mg) once or twice a day. Salivary gland biopsy on my lip and blood tests for Sjogrens was negative. Way past menopause. Started night sweats now about a year ago. I use just about everything and anything for my dry mouth with little to no relief. Drink water all the time.
We'll my thinking with chromed and colitis is I don't have them. Blood tests and X-rays show nothing out of the ordinary. No other symptoms. Just constipation.
I have never had this confirmed by a doc but I believe mine may be related to high blood sugar levels. When blood sugar builds up, my heart acts up, when blood sugar goes down, they go away. That's just my own personal idea and I have no idea if there is any medical validity to it.
While I don't know the cause, both times occurred a year- year and a half after giving birth, also getting insufficient sleep, dehydration and chewing a lot of sugar free gum. I have cut out the gum, hydrating myself (cutting down on coffee, more fluids) and washing my hair more frequently. I am already seeing a difference in just 1 day. Hope this comment helps someone.
I am wondering if anyone can help. I am on Armour Thyroid for Hypothyroidism, Pristiq for depression, Protonix for GERD and HRT. I know the Pristiq can cause it, but the dry mouth started years after I started the Pristiq. I just sent my doctor an email questioning whether Thyroid problems can cause dry mouth. Anyone have any ideas or answers? Thanks!
This reflects on blood PH as well. In acidic blood, the cells stick to each other and will not be drawn into tissue and muscles as easily as non acidic blood, thus body parts get less oxygen. Low body PH contributes to heart disease too. Some people claim they feel great when upping their body PH. I ate a boatload of veggies and stayed clear of red meat for 3 months, then my saliva PH went to 7- 7.5 in the morning, was around 5.5-6 before.
that I'm having a heart attack and will be dying shortly. I've been to numerous doctors and have had blood tests, ECGs, you name it. Each time, tests come back with nothing. My doctor has even said that my heart is "perfect". I can accept that all these symptoms are anxiety related but the train of thought that develops in my head when I experience one of these episodes is debilitating and frightening. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience on this forum.
One more hint, ladies. If you buy sugar-less gum and sugar free candy and chew (or suck candy) - it gets rid of the taste for a little while. I chose sugar free for the cals or lack of. Have a good day. It would be great if we could get responses from former gallbladder surgery patients with similar problems and find out whether this resolved or not. I hope it will. I talked to a friend of mine and she said she had symptoms for about 2 months afterwards and then it was fine.
I'm not sure if the blood pressure and other symtoms are related. He also gets very red in the face and at times turns a greenish color around his temple. Do you think all of this is coming from the same source.
My physician put me on Toprol xl 25mg lus protonix and ordered a cardiac perfusion stress tes which showed a problem. I had a caterization which found a blocakge in a branch of the third artery overy as it was explained to me. My ejection fraction is normal at 57(I am 66 yearsold). I was told collateral circulation was taking over and was prescribed Imdur 30 mg and Crestor five MG daily(my cholestral is 180 ldl 70 hdl 40).
They did a glucose tolerence test, which I failed miserably with a drop in blood sugar to 34. Again this should have been known to be normal for Gastric Bypass patients. Fasting and non-fasting sugar levels are all normal. They decided this was not an issue. The rest of my history: 1997 - weighed 397 lbs. Had RNY gastric bypass and gall bladder removed. Current weight 245 1998 - Alcohol addiction started.
I had an ekg while in symptoms and it showed an extra beat but blood pressure was good etc.. Are your symptoms relieved or made worse by lying down? Mine are relieved by getting into a prone position or by exercise such as walking. I NEVER get symptoms while exercising (Over 60 minutes of cardio) and actually feel excellent for hours/days after. I was given Prevacid which eventually made my stomach feel "lousy" and then Acifex which did the same.
I tried to tell them not to do it and while I was out calling the Doctor they gave it to him and his blood sugar level plummeted to 30 and he almost passed out on them. Then they had to get Orange Juice down him as quickly as we could. After that the nurses had standing instructions to CHECK WITH HIS WIFE before giving ANY insulin and I would tell them how much to give him. Unfortunately you DEFINITELY have to be your own advocates or have a family member to do it for you!!
