protein drinks and whey protein drinks aren't bad for growing boys. protein is the fastest way to spur muscle growth. i don't know what part of the world you live in, but you can find both of those products at Trader Joe's if that market is availible to you. If not you can find them at pretty much any health food store, major supermarket, or vitamin shop. some gyms like equinox sell those products also.

I can tell you one thing I noticed growing faster than normal after withdrawals but I had better not go there! I can't say I noticed any difference in the way my nails grew. My wife takes some kind of supplement that's suppose to help grow and strengthen nails. I can't think of the name offhand but will ask her. I'll also ask her if it actually helps. Are you sure they're not growing as fast or is it something you just finally noticed?

I drank whey protein shakes with my son. He is healthy as can be at 3 and he was able to hold his head up since birth and roll over from back to stomach at 2 weeks old. The Dr said it was due to his muscle mass and protein is good for developing muscle.

I bought the chocolate Special K brand protein shake but after reading the label more carefully I am not sure this is safe to drink. There is a difference in protein meal replacement shakes and ensure... You just have to read. Ensure will be best should try luna bars their for women and it has protein and vitamins. Target sells them.

Instead you should drink something that has electrolytes to refuel your body, and also something that has protein, sodium, potassium. Lots of guys have those protein shakes. Some even swear by eating shakes with raw eggs. Kinda gross if you ask me. Make sure to learn about all the different strength training excersises you can do. There are ALOT.
