m going to ask my doc if this is safe but wanted to know if any of you ladies knew the ans? Is it safe to drink protein shakes while pregnant ??

I drank whey protein shakes with my son. He is healthy as can be at 3 and he was able to hold his head up since birth and roll over from back to stomach at 2 weeks old. The Dr said it was due to his muscle mass and protein is good for developing muscle.

Do any of you ladies use protein powder for protein shakes? If so, which kind do you use? I bought the chocolate Special K brand protein shake but after reading the label more carefully I am not sure this is safe to drink. I was hoping to find a premade protein shake or a powder that mixes easily with chocolate milk. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Some of my blood work shows LH to FSH Ratio being off and then some shows nothing. It's odd, that is why I am wondering if the two cysts that I had would just be the cause of my acne and weight gain. I do not take any supplements other than whey protein shakes post workout. I have since switched to a vegetable-based protein shake. I have not really noticed a decrease in strength, although I have plateaued and haven't seen an increase in strength in over a year. I do notice while lifting weights now that the primary muscle that I am focusing on does not get a proper workout because the supporting muscles get tired fast.
