The study, published in the November issue of the journal Endocrinology, found that curcumin is able to battle the liver disease by canceling out the effects
of the hormone leptin. Leptin is responsible for the overproduction of the collagen protein that’s to blame for the damage to the liver.
While more study is, needed, take advantage of the liver-protection that curcumin offers now. Turmeric has a warm peppery flavor that’s a great compliment to vegetable, rice, potato, and meat dishes.
