238582 tn?1365210634 I will eat raw vegetables on a regular basis. As far as meats, eggs, etc...I would not take the risk of getting sick from eating these foods uncooked. I've never heard doing so would benefit OVCA patients.
403255 tn?1278813266 Did a little Googling for you! One site says: "Raw eggs or undercooked eggs have the potential to contain Salmonella. Raw eggs are often included in many commercial products including Egg Nog and some forms of Caesar salad dressing. Be sure to check out the labels before you consume any of these products. Signs of salmonella food poisoning may include: fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
Avatar f tn Thx! The smell waa awful but they were amazing.
Avatar m tn You have to be very careful in eating raw eggs because of Salmonella. if you can find a farm that only has free range chickens that would be the only ones to eat. Still you have to be very, very careful!!!

Avatar f tn (Most people think avididn, which inhibits biotin utililzation as the major problem with raw eggs, when in effect, the trypsin-inhibitor can cause more serious problems if enough raw eggs are fed). If the egg is not cooked, I would advise that you start to completely cook the eggs before adding to the food; this destroys the action of the trypsin inhibitor protein.
Avatar n tn Definitely recommend hard boiled eggs, protein for you and the baby! They say not to eat certain cheeses like blue vein.. Maybe google it as well?
Avatar f tn d suggest you learn some easy recipe and make your own meals from raw ingredients. You should use complete protein source(fish, meat, eggs). Add more cooking oil in the cooking process to get more calories. For dinner, it depends how hungry you are. If you're hungry then it's the same thing as for lunch. If you're not hungry, have a snack. Good one is can of baked beans and crisp bread with butter. I recommend you eat nuts or eggs and dairy products before bed.
Avatar f tn I was reading that it's best not to eat anythjng with raw eggs in it. I've been craving brownies but that does have raw eggs in it. Can I still eat brownies? or is it best not to risk it?
Avatar f tn It's not the raw egg that will cause you to miscarry, it's the salmonella you could get from a raw egg. But most eggs are fine, I've never had salmonella poisoning and I've been eating g cookie dough and fried eggs over easy all my life.... It's just a precaution for pregnany mothers .. I'm sure you'll be fine just be aware from now until you deliver.
Avatar m tn Again...i repeat...no raw eggs while on tx drugs....
Avatar f tn Also, you might not be eating enough so you get hungry in the afternoon. Maybe add some protein like hard boiled eggs, tofu, raw nuts or turkey for breakfast and lunch to see if that helps.
Avatar f tn I'm a ftm so I don't know if eating a pie that has raw eggs in it is bad for the baby. I have been eating this pie my whole life and many pregnant woman in my family have too. I just wonder because my step mom said its bad and she is a RN. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn Nuts are a good source of protein. Try keeping raw almonds and walnuts in your purse. I really love eating a banana or Apple with organic peanut butter or organic almond butter over it.
Avatar f tn Add a meat, eggs, dairy, etc to get your protein, bread or cereal to get your whole grains a serving or 2 of fruit every day, some healthy fat, such as olive oil, and avocado in your salad. You can actually buy a head of lettuce, tomato, cucumber and other raw veggies that will make a couple of meals, less expensively than you can buy a ready made salad that will only make one meal. Or buy a larger salad and split it into 2 meals.
Avatar f tn Just remember to stay away from alcoholic drinks, and raw or foods that are not well done...moderation with everything. Eat yogurt, eggs, protein shakes, lots of fruits even dried fruits as snacks, saltine crackers. Eat every 2 hrs to keep nausea at bay. Fluids...
Avatar f tn I think shes asking what she should not eat and what's good to eat. You should eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Stay away from raw fish and rare meats. Make sure everything is fully cooked. You can eat a little bit of tuna but not like a can a day. Oh and stay away from things with raw eggs in it. Don't drink to much juice and only a little bit of caffeine a day,I think its 8ozs a day. Milk and water are really good to drink, not sure about tea cause I dont drink it. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn Since you live in Turkey than the diet I gave you may be harder to follow, since many of the ingredients may not be available. Any kind of meat, fish, cheese, high protein grains, and beans should be fine as protein sources, as long as your cat finds them to be palatable. All can be cooked. Hygiene is more important than feeding raw food. Your cat should do well whether the food is raw or cooked. All the vegetables you have listed are also fine.
