Avatar m tn But dogs really need as basic nutrition, a good quality dog food with all the right balanced minerals and vitamins, and adequate protein. There are very many good foods on the market, without additives and preservatives, etc, or animal by-products. In England (where I am) we have slightly different products than in the US, but a little research online may point you towards the right food. A little white bread and tomato is not a balanced diet suitable for dogs.

Avatar m tn Anxiety is one thing. Reflux, though, is another. That is usually a dietary problem. For some it's caused by lying down too soon after eating. For some it's not chewing your food thoroughly. For some it's the food you're eating. Medication doesn't control this very healthfully because it suppresses stomach acid, and you need that to digest protein and minerals. My own experience is that changing how you eat and when you eat, plus using natural remedies works better.
Avatar f tn Has anyone heard that you shouldn't eat spicy foods when pregnant? I've been craving indian food so I made some spicy tikka masala last night. It doesn't give me heartburn and I don't recall my doctor saying anything about not eating spicy food but my sister ( who has been hovering over me and monitoring my eating like a pregnancy police) insists that she heard that spicy food is bad for the baby or will induce early labor.

Avatar f tn s not good or sustainable. In addition, weight lost too and not in a healthy manner will most likely be regained as soon as you start eating normally again, even if maintaining a healthy diet. Sorry - thought it would let you choose which nutrients to track, but it only gives a list of the ones that are tracked... I think it used to let you choose, but they changed it... anyway, protein is on that list, so you should be tracking it, when you enter food data.

194555 tn?1264286923 If the msg in Chinese or Indian food causes you to have palps, then don't eat there! I understand you love the food, but why put yourself through that? Surely there must be other "treats" that would satisfy you. And while I understand how nice it is to go out, cooking up a great Chinese dinner at home could be very romantic! (And no msg to dampen the festivities!) LOL You could color the rice red and form it into the shape of a heart!
