Avatar f tn If your on a gd diet you just have to manage your protein and carbs. You can pop something in the oven and eat meat just watch the starch you pair with it. I usually eat a lot of meat since it's carb free to help feel me up and double up on veggies and keep my bread/rice/pasta/potatos/beans to very minimal.

Also when I was Pregnant last time I was always eating those Protein bars...you can get them 10 for $10 and their low in sugar and fat and they come in delicious flavors! You can also find Cottage Cheese with lots of Protein in it these days...Oh and I don't know if you've seen them but Special K makes these single serving drink packets (like the Crystal Light ones) that you just put in a water bottle and drink and they make them with PROTEIN..

Avatar f tn mid morning snack protein bar. Lunch Turkey or lean ham sandwich on WHOLE grain bread and veggies. Dinner is grilled meat chicken mostly garden salad or steamed vegetables and a starch . And I love air popped popcorn in the evening as a snack.

With each meal I eat some protein, such as, 1-2 boiled or poached eggs, 85g tuna in springwater, 55-115g lean turkey breast, 55-115g chicken breast, 55-115g lean roast beef or 55-115g lean ham. I eat at least 2 pieces of fruit a day. Most lunches are a salad, of lettuce, cucumber, grated carrot, celery, avocado, mushroom & tomato, with some protein added.
