Avatar f tn You probably need to eat more protein. Try to gain muscle and eat good protein. If you like eggs, eat egg beaters. They are better.
172023 tn?1334672284 Here are some of my favorite, easy breakfasts. Each provides a good balance of healthy carbs, fats, protein, and fiber. Don't skip breakfast! There's no excuse if you keep the ingredients on hand, and get up a couple minutes early. 1. 1 cup fat free cottage cheese with 1/2 cup diced fruit of choice. 2. 1/2 cup oatmeal made with 3/4 cup skim milk, 1 small cubed apple and 5 chopped nut pieces mixed in. 3. 1 cup shredded wheat cereal with 1/2-3/4 cup skim milk, sliced banana 4.
Avatar n tn In truth, I think the eggs at taco bell are well cooked. They are not made to order most likely and more on the done side than the undone side. they are actually most likely the liquid egg product you can buy (egg beaters) rather than cracked eggs. I wouldn't worry about this. And I believe they mean RAW eggs as in like cookie dough and things like that.
Avatar f tn I make stir fry with marinated tofu sometimes and always have light soy milk in my fridge and frozen edamame in my freezer. Whole grains are high in protein too. Whenever you buy cereals, pasta and bread, just look for whole grain varities. Same thing as legumes, you'll get the benefit of a higher fiber content also. You can also buy a good protein powder and make yourself a shake for breakfast or before a workout.
387767 tn?1345872027 Great! I also keep turkey sausage on hand to go with them. Try to work up 3 or 4 quick and easy breakfasts that you can rotate on a daily basis.
Avatar f tn I kmoe exactly how you feel! I have found yep solutions. If you live near an organic goods market (whole foods, trader joes, ect) they have pasturized shelled eggs which you make any way you please. Because they are pasturized the risk is eliminated. Also, if you can settle fit runny scrambled eggs them try the "egg beaters" (store brand too) in little milk carton like jug. Its pasteurized liquid eggs. I hole this helps. I have to have my eggs and do not about them firm.
483733 tn?1326798446 Another way I really enjoy eggs is to add a chopped up hard boiled egg to my tuna, either in a sandwich or stuffed into a nice, ripe tomato - very refreshing, light meal during the hot summer! I like eggs in pretty much any fashion - hard or soft boiled, poached, fried, omelets, scrambled - well, you get the picture!
Avatar n tn Thanks!....So how about egg protein based shakes..Are eggs considered dairy products?
360318 tn?1340393363 Nuts, though high in fat, are actually quite heart healthy and very high in protein. Beans are another good source of protein. All animal food is high in protein, with fish being high in fat but good fat. You have a lot of choices. It's not the amount of fat that's important, since most protein foods contain fat, it's the kind of fat and the variety in the diet -- eating a lot of vegetables, for example, provides the antioxidants that help prevent fat from being a problem.
Avatar f tn As long as your finding protein in other ways your fine! I contactedy dr about protein shakes and she said as long as they arent meant for post work out body building types then they are fine Luna bars, special K stuff and Bolthouse Farms protein shakes are all ok except the green goodness, or so Ive read due to the green tea in it among a couple other ingredients. But their chocolate shakes are delicious!
541953 tn?1262586226 1 egg seems too heavy on the egg -- for such a small thing, it might be better to purchase some egg beaters which could be measured in a smaller quantity. Or how about getting chocolate cake mix and measuring out a suitably small portion...hmmm...Swampy has no microwave so he can't test this recipe.
4744855 tn?1358656623 Personally I would not recommend any shakes. It is best to increase protein intake through cereals, oats, lean cut of meats and egg whites. You can opt for a healthy diet and lifestyle. Exercise regularly. With time you will gain weight and a toned and fit body. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
793908 tn?1294705109 There's no such thing as a food with NO protein, at least not one that will healthfully maintain a dog for its lifetime. Do a Google search for "diets, renal failure dogs" and you will come up with a wholle host of websites that have recipes for home cooking for dogs with kidney issues. This is what you need, since dogs in renal failure need as little protein as possible in their diet because their kidneys can't process it.
10754959 tn?1412551691 Hens are often fed manufactured foodstuffs, all containing various chemicals and additives including some medicines - and it all ends up in the resulting eggs. The more organic the egg, the better the protein quality - and the better they are for CKF dogs. Buy from a supermarket, and you are probably getting poor quality protein content.
703362 tn?1427766328 A large egg contains 6 grams of protein, 4.5 grams of fat (1.5 of which is saturated fat) and 212 milligrams of cholesterol and it supplies 78 calories. By nature an egg is protein rich, low in sodium and contains vitamins and minerals. Eggs contain biotin, a B vitamin; calcium and cephalin. Egg yolk is one of the few foods that contain vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. In addition, eggs are inexpensive, delicious and easy to prepare.
Avatar f tn Egg whites, egg white omelets, carbmaster (similar to yogurt) from Krogers
Avatar f tn Well, I've searched a lot and all I've found is that L-arginine can make herpes (HSV) replicate and get worse. But I haven't found a study saying that it could be the same with HPV. I bought a protein supplement of egg protein and I've read that it has lysine and lutein which seems to have a good effect in the clearance of HPV, but it also has L-Arginine and there are mixed opinions about it... Anyone has tried it with success? Btw...
Avatar m tn "Breakfast" is quickly becoming a bad word to me. I just got diagnosed, and I know there are restrictions around what you can eat because certain things affect absorption. The problem is, there is a lot of conflicting data out there, and no real solutions that I can find. I know you can't have calcium or iron supplements within 4 hours of taking levothyroxine.
4677558 tn?1357863679 IVF-the only bad thing about the process is the IV for the egg retrieval everything else is a piece of cake
Avatar f tn My nutritionist put me on a plan of 45g carbs per meal, breakfast lunch and dinner, and three snacks per day at about 15-20g carbs in each snack. High protein to give you energy and all the veggies you want, to fill you up. I eat lots of green salads with lean meat (baked chicken, usually).
