Common Questions and Answers about Protein in apples

protein

Avatar f tn For a healthy diet, you will need to make sure you get plenty of lean protein. This can be in the form of meats, chicken, fish, dairy, eggs, beans, nuts, etc. Protein helps fill you up and it's the building block for muscle, which burn fat. In addition to protein, be sure to eat lots of veggies. Switch to whole grains, and limit fruit to 1-2 servings/day. If you drink sodas, stop and that, alone will go a long way toward helping your lose.
Avatar f tn Apples and other fruits do have sugar in them. Low fat diets tend to be high in sugar, which is just as likely to make you gain weight. Are you getting enough protein? You should still be eating lean meats, beans, nuts, and fish, plus vegetables and fruits. Also, you need carbs, like the kind you'd get from whole wheat bread. You need a proper balance of foods, otherwise your body is malnourished, which can lead to weight gain.
7540649 tn?1395719596 My midwife told me I need to get 100 grams of protein a day! I don't normally get anywhere near that much. Normally I don't eat meat every day, so I would be lucky to get 20 grams... I can't eat peanuts, beans, soy, or pork. Eggs make me throw up right now (I used to really like them). Any ideas for how I can get closer to 100 grams of protein in a day? I'm making an effort to eat meat more, but I'm not that used to it and it isn't sitting well.
Avatar f tn Apples are commonly grown using the highest amount of pesticides that can collect in the skin. In order for farmers to produce a healthy crop that are presentable and not bug eaten they use a ton of chemicals. Peel them or buy organic. I know a bit about this because I juice my fruits and veggies.

2028721 tn?1356682003 Looks like he's heading you toward high protein, which isn't bad, but not necessarily all that good. While protein is essential for building muscle, you need a balance of all the food groups. The only veggies I see is tomato and the only fruit I see is the banana. I also see very little fiber, which would be the bread. Veggies are one of the best things you can eat to lose/maintain weight.

Avatar f tn No its not okay to do a "FAD" (in fashion) diet like that ... if you are considering going raw (only fruits and vegies) few nuts and seeds, you need to do some calculating first. Like how much calories your body needs to feel healthy FAD requiers 2500 calories a day... vegies and fruit are low in calories well some are and you will have to consume a lot of them to stay healthy and lose weight in a healthy way.
