Avatar f tn Hello I have had some on going health issues for about two years now. I am a 30 year old female. My main symptom started in April of 2021 and things have just continued from there. I have pain under my right rib the goes into my back. I also have pain near my belly button at times and suffer from nausea. I have facial flushing. I have itchiness all over my body but especially my arms and arm pit area and my chest. I have hair loss. I also have shortness of breath.
Avatar f tn Persistent hematuria with or without protein needs thorough investigations to rule out any potential kidney issues. What you need to do now is 1. 24 hour urine collection for the volumn of protein 2. microscopic urinalysis ( first urine in the morning, mid stream, how many RBC/ hp?) 3. Kidney ultrasound scan. When you have got all these results,we can evaluate and decide if a kidney biopsy and treatment will be needed.
Avatar n tn stomach issues run in the family. my mam and grandad have terrible stomach issues. my mam has multiple issues-iIBS,hiatal hernia, other female issues that make her intolerant to food such as wheat and dairy and caffine. any insight?
Avatar m tn Generally, most of the complications associated with whey protein intake have to do with digestive issues, such as gas, bloating, headaches, cramps and fatigue. None of these are generally considered life-threatening, more so than annoying complications. Most of the literature has shown that if you’re experiencing any of have these symptoms, they are most likely due to either the lactose (found more in Whey Protein Concentrate) or sweeteners used more so than the whey protein itself.
Avatar f tn I have been having GI issues. I have been diagnosed with the following: Ulcers on the esophagus, ulcers in the stomach, reflux, gasteritis, gall bladder functioning at 52%, and a enlarged liver. Then this past Saturday I had a CT Scan and it showed a spot on my liver. Can I please have some insight?
Avatar f tn Thanks Dr Renee' for your kind reply. Maybe I am not eating enough protein, I have had 6 children, lost hair when I was breastfeeding, I breastfeed for many years all my 6 children, however my youngest children are now 11yrs old, I am 48yrs, maybe hormones?, I won't take the food grade form of Diatomaceous Earth , appreciate greatly your reply.
Avatar f tn If eating, avoid mixing protein with carbohydrates. Eg eat protein with veges or salad, or have a vegetarian meal. this will avoid gas. Avoid fatty meals as gall bladder issues can irritate the digestive system. If yor problem in the large cyst I am sure your gynae will not leave you in this situation. If he puts you on hold, insist he do something to help.
Avatar n tn I'm sure your baby will be just fine! At my 34 week sonogram with my first daughter (who is 17 months now) they told me I should be prepared for the "worst" because her percentiles just weren't adding up. Her belly was big and her legs were way too short and her overall weight was three weeks behind. 5 weeks later we brought a healthy 6lb 5oz baby into this world with absolutely no issues. She's perfect! Sonograms aren't always accurate.
Avatar n tn For about 14 years of my life, that I can remember, I've been having issues with my stomach. I'm now 17 and tired of them, it seems like no matter what I eat, or when I eat it, I either end up vomiting or with terrible diarrhea. I've seen several doctors, yet the minute my mum mentions I eat a lot of dairy they pretty much ignore my other symptoms and diagnose me as Lactose Intolerant.
1796987 tn?1315609914 It can happen after taking antibiotics or after your diet getting too high in sugary foods and too low in protein and vegetables. The first time you have one, it's a good idea to see your gynecologist for definitive diagnosis. If you don't have dairy issues, you can eat yogurt and take a prebiotic that fights yeast. They can help you choose a good one at a health food store. You can get OTC yeast medications at the drug store.
Avatar f tn Hi all! My hubby is wanting to get back in shape eventually after we figured out if he's cleared the hep c virus for sure. My question is, is whey protein safe if you have liver issues? I've heard someone say no but I never knew the reasoning. We put a call into his doctor but I just wanted to see if any of you might know.
Avatar f tn Went to hospital on weekend for swelling amd headache. 3093770 tn?1389739126 hey, I'm in my 6th week of incivek, my stomach feels sick. Now, I can only eat the 20g fat for incivek, and some fruits for the whole day. Feel every time when I eat 20g, my stomach becomes big. Do you have any ideas to help stomach digest? Now for the 20g diet, i try my best to involve some protein, i know if i don't have enough protein, i might be sleepy and exhausted. For the breakfast, i have 250ml whole milk(9g fat), 1 egg(4-5g), some cookies.

Avatar f tn Protein is an essential part of your diet and if you are skipping meat then you should try something like tofu or similar non vegetarian protein food to aid in your weight loss. Not only protein can curb your hunger but also can help you build muscles ( if you are working out) to burn more calories.
Avatar m tn I have a question whether I should or not supplement my diet with protein shake. I have read good and bad things about whey protein. Some studies indicate it is good and some say its unhealthy. Unhealthy protein supplements especially whey is from cow's given growth hormones, steroids, antibiotics and etc. The healthy one is organic and cold processed and that is promoted as best.
1415174 tn?1453243103 I am vegan and use a vegan protein powder to supplement 20 grams extra a day. So my total protein is about 75-80 grams (not 95g). I read that you can get too much growth hormone (which is good for building muscle) but it creates insulin like growth factor (ILGF). Too much ILGF can potentially cause cancer. So that is what I am asking. What has anyone read about this.
Avatar m tn We (the US and UK and many others now) have become Carb nations and we are the ones who are suffering more health wise. Japan used to be a nation of protein and switched to carbs, now they too are paying the price. There are so many dieticians who have different ideas that I have to conclude nobody really knows or understands. I had a very sweet tooth as a kid, chocolate chocolate and chocolate. At 46 my coronary arteries were a real mess.
Avatar f tn At her age her body has adjusted to having one kidney so she does not have to be on any special diet unless she is having issues you have not stated. Based on her weight / age, she should be consuming approximately 1500-1800 calories per day as recommended the following; Fruits (limit fruit juices) = 1.5 cups; Vegetables 2.
Avatar n tn Make sure he is getting enough Carbs, cereal, whole grain bread, he needs some fats , protein ,if he is tired then he could be deficient in vitamins so give him a good multiple supplement with anti-oxidants Vit C and BComplex some fish oil also can be good .This should help with his energy level, if he looses weight and is fatigued I would suggest a check up at the Doctors to make sure nothing else is going on ...
