While protein is essential for building muscle, you need a balance of all the food groups. The only veggies I see is tomato and the only fruit I see is the banana. I also see very little fiber, which would be the bread. Veggies are one of the best things you can eat to lose/maintain weight.

Since 2005, it appears that other foods (wheat gluten, rice, corn products for example) cause or exascerbate a whole different palpitation. I haven't noticed this on any message forum before. Has anyone experiences something similar? Food, specifically a few types of protein seem to have caused me major problems.

For recipes that call for bulgar wheat or cous cous, such as tabouleh, substitute human grade millet (it is hulled for human consumption) or quinoa (pronounced keen-wah). You get all the experience without the tummy troubles caused by the gluten containing grains. So, going gluten free is just a change in thinking and can actually be a very positive experience.

You are trying your best and remember he was born before his time. Recommend you go to an Allergist and get your son tested to see if he is really allergic to milk protein or lactose so you know what correct foods to feed him. Suggest changing from Nutramigen to soy milk because it is recommended not to use this formula over 6 months - 1years old.
