916516 tn?1245885188 I eat the 2 egg white and one egg and make a egg sandwich each morning w/ cheese one one slice of protein bread. Love it!
Avatar f tn Never heard anything about that. I didn't eat one my whole pregnancy and my son is completely fine and healthy!
360318 tn?1340393363 A variety of foods is better than eating just one all the time. Egg whites do contain protein, but so does a host of foods. Nuts, though high in fat, are actually quite heart healthy and very high in protein. Beans are another good source of protein. All animal food is high in protein, with fish being high in fat but good fat. You have a lot of choices.
2028721 tn?1356682003 For breakfast, you might try a hard boiled egg (protein/fat), 1-2 slices of whole grain toast (protein) with peanut butter (protein/fat) and sliced banana.... ever had a banana sandwich?? Yummy... Or you could do 2 scrambled eggs, loaded with fresh baby spinach, red/green/orange sweet peppers, mushrooms and chopped tomatoes.... another yummy. Of course, breakfast depends on how much time you have in the morning, before work, school, etc.
408901 tn?1274687198 My Dr had given me protein powder, 2 brands...i had one, it tasted horrible. In the whole day nausea, dont have the guts to try the other brand! Is anyone taking protein powder? what all must we eat now for our baby's good nourishment? I just had an icecream, seems like the craving is a lot but i dun enjoy it as much when i eat it. radhika.
4744855 tn?1358656623 Personally I would not recommend any shakes. It is best to increase protein intake through cereals, oats, lean cut of meats and egg whites. You can opt for a healthy diet and lifestyle. Exercise regularly. With time you will gain weight and a toned and fit body. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
793908 tn?1294705109 You might try " The Honest Kitchens" dehydrated foods. They have several varieties you can read about. Though their ingredients are top of the line, some of their varieties have a higher carb count or higher protein count than others, so pull it up on line and read the carb count and protein count for each one. "Embark" is their highest protein, so forget that one.
703362 tn?1427766328 A large egg contains 6 grams of protein, 4.5 grams of fat (1.5 of which is saturated fat) and 212 milligrams of cholesterol and it supplies 78 calories. By nature an egg is protein rich, low in sodium and contains vitamins and minerals. Eggs contain biotin, a B vitamin; calcium and cephalin. Egg yolk is one of the few foods that contain vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. In addition, eggs are inexpensive, delicious and easy to prepare.
1896213 tn?1321339486 Is his skin red or swollen? Is he scratching a lot? Maybe he has scabies, it's really easy to cure if that's the case. I doubt that it's a vitamin deficiency because he should be drinking milk from his mom being that small, and milk has everything kittens need. If he's already eating other things, as long as you give him food that's for kittens he'll be ok (with the diet stuff).
Avatar f tn I know eggs are high in protein but not sure of the calcium content. (other than the egg shells which are about 100% calcium, but I don't eat the shells LOL!
Avatar f tn Best meal plan for this is LCHF, which basically resembles VEGETABLE + PROTEIN (meat/fish/egg) + FAT. Make sure fat is from natural sources, like olive oil, avocado, butter, coconut, etc, and not the fake stuff like margarine. A typical LCHF meal looks like egg omelette with bacon, asparagus and mushrooms, or another example large salad with olive oil and steak, or another example broccoli sautéed in butter with roasted chicken thigh (with skin on).
Avatar f tn Egg whites, egg white omelets, carbmaster (similar to yogurt) from Krogers
Avatar f tn i would try separating the egg whites from the yolks and only eating one of them. one part of the egg could be an issue or it could be the whole egg. Also has she tried eating nuts or protein drink mixes for extra protein. (the mixes can be added to milk or water or even in cooking to add protein) If she really is allergic to eggs remember that the influenza vaccination could really bother her too so it might be a good idea not to get one.
Avatar f tn Well, I've searched a lot and all I've found is that L-arginine can make herpes (HSV) replicate and get worse. But I haven't found a study saying that it could be the same with HPV. I bought a protein supplement of egg protein and I've read that it has lysine and lutein which seems to have a good effect in the clearance of HPV, but it also has L-Arginine and there are mixed opinions about it... Anyone has tried it with success? Btw...
Avatar f tn I was told from a friend who was told by her doctor that while your pregnant you should eat 4eggs a day?
Avatar f tn One thing I learned about protein in the past couple of years is regarding digestion of it. My son runs competitively and we had to take a hard look at his diet because of that. Protein, I've learned, often digests really slowly. I would check how much protein you are consuming as it may be more than you need. And depending on what it is, it sits in your stomach longer than other food and moves through your digestive track more slowly than other food.
Avatar f tn So one of the challenges last week was to do something new this week. I started tracking my food/nutrition and I'm loving it! I realized something about myself--- I was NOT getting enough calories. My husband isn't either (he's over 250lbs and was only getting 1000 calories a day). Anyway, one thing I'm noticing is that I'm not getting enough protein. Not only is meat expensive but sometimes I just plain don't like meat. Any suggestions?
172023 tn?1334672284 Multigrain Eng muffin with 1/2 cup scrambled egg beaters (made into a sandwich) 5. Smoothie: mix 1 cup skim milk with 1 banana and 1/3 cup fat free vanilla yogurt. Add a packet of splenda if you must. I often add a scoop of protein powder to this.
1395754 tn?1286478428 In moderation, eat eggs, soya and chicken products, You can drink milk and whey protein products and eat lots of nuts and seeds such as sunflower, walnuts, almonds etc. Aim for atleast 75 gms of protein a day. Your body needs the protein to help the egg fertilization process and help the egg implant properly into the uterus. 4. Keep a positive frame of mind and pray to god to help you at this time. 5.
Avatar n tn Well mine lasted from my meds and after the transfer. I'm still bloated too but I'm thinking it is from pregnancy. We are having twins and I'm almost 6 weeks. I'm sorry, I know it's uncomfortable. Wishing you good numbers on your blood test!
Avatar f tn This means dropping the processed things out of your diet like chips and crackers and obviously the sugar items like cookies and such. Instead, have a piece of fruit for a snack or a hard boiled egg or protein bar. Keep your portions smaller at meal time and try to stick to lean protein, fruits and vegis. Exercise for a half hour at least 5 times a week where you get your heart rate up (where you can talk but are breathing hard). Good luck and let us know how you do!
1978102 tn?1334243767 I'm sorry, but it is not a good idea to go on a diet with such a limited list of foods. Tuna is fine a couple of times a week if it is free of mercury, etc. Sardines would be a better choice since they don't have the mercury risk. But you want to vary your protein. For breakfast, consider an egg or two egg whites scrambled with some leftover vegetables and maybe some Go Veggie cheese topped with some salsa. I had that thi morning.
