protein

Avatar n tn Ch4st4r had some good suggestions... also adding protein and healthy fats from olive or coconut oil to each meal will help as well, since protein and fats, won't increase blood glucose levels like simple carbs will. I lost 23 lbs by add more healthful fats to my diet...
Avatar f tn Hi, How are you? I'm sorry to hear what you have been through for the last year. The two most common causes of monoclonal protein in serum or urine are multiple myeloma or monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). The diagnostic triad for multiple myeloma includes significant paraprotein in the serum or urine, more than 10% to 15% plasma cells in bone marrow, and the presence of bony lesions.
Avatar f tn edema, hypertension (high blood pressure), and protein in the urine. Modern medical science does not know the cause of pre-eclampsia. Midwives however see a strong enough connection between deficiencies in the mother’s diet and the occurrence of pre-eclmapsia to say the pre-eclampsia (and eclampsia, toxemia with maternal convulsions) is the result of malnutrition during pregnancy.Below are listed herbal and nutritional information to help prevent pre-eclampsia.
789911 tn?1368636783 I put them in my protein drink. May start adding the leaves. And, am a true java junkie....
Avatar n tn I suffer from constipation. I've always suffered from constipation. I had to take/have a lot of constipation relief tablets. Now that I'm pregnant I'm wondering if having Senna leaves soaked in water and having it before going to bed is safe? Would appreciate any other safe tabs/methods during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I was freaking out to so I slammed the doctor with questions when I went in. It was crazy the preeclampsia struck me right in the 35th week and they sent me to labor and delivery to do a 24 hour urine test. Nothing changed so they induced me. My son was already an IUGR baby. The weird thing was I went in to talk to the doctor about setting my 37 week induction appointment up because my son wasn't growing. Well the doctor came in said my blood pressure was high and protein was in my urine.
Avatar m tn for like 6 months now ive been having bubbles in my urine and I though it could be from all the protein shakes ive been drinking but its been doing that sence before I was even drinking the shakes could this be diabetes
Avatar n tn //www.mayoclinic.com/health/protein-in-urine/MY00630 I hope I've helped you and please you deserve better, find a new doctor.
Avatar f tn I feel tired and my low back aches (around my tailbone/coccyx). I do drink a lot of water, but whenever I do eat something, it leaves my mouth feeling dry at times and it leaves a nasty taste as well. Even after I brush my teeth, the taste is still there...or at least it seems that way. Not too long after, I feel as if I have to throw up, because of the taste that is in my mouth. Is there something that I can do??
Avatar f tn Yea I'd try to avoid the protein powder and get the protein I need from the food I eat. I'm a vegetarian so I get my protein from tofu and other foods made from soy, beans, nuts, and dairy products. You don't know all the ingredients in the protein powder so I'd ask my doctor about it.
Avatar f tn If working out on an empty stomach in the morning leaves you with no energy, have a protein shake or mini-meal. If you work out later in the day, I recommend working out two to three hours after a meal or one hour after a smaller snack. You don't want to eat a big meal or a high-fat snack before you workout. Give your body enough time to digest food, so it can fuel your muscles while you work out.
Avatar f tn Just been to see midwife have protein plus in my urine but no high blood pressure anyone else had this thanks
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.
Avatar f tn I have learned that one of the functions of the liver is to somehow help to process proteins we consume. Does anyone know if lowering ones protein intake would be beneficial to the liver by not making it work so hard. I am thinking in regards to a vegan diet benefiting someone with Hep C.
2090601 tn?1334515062 I think as long as you talk to them and tell them how you are feeling they will prescribe the appropriate meds. From what I have read from all the warriors you need to drink a gallon of water everyday! So hang in there and do your best Have a great day!
Avatar n tn I have had very odd palpitations when consuming whey protein since 2001. Since 2005, it appears that other foods (wheat gluten, rice, corn products for example) cause or exascerbate a whole different palpitation. I haven't noticed this on any message forum before. Has anyone experiences something similar? Food, specifically a few types of protein seem to have caused me major problems.
Avatar f tn 5 weeks ago, while sleeping with my window open a neighbor across the lake left piles of leaves burning. I was woken up by a cough & a my room reeked of burning leaves. Since then I have not been able to get rid of this cough. Doctor treated me for walking pneumonia. Still have the junk and the cough. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn s also known to help with sagging energy levels. Try peanut butter or other protein snack before rising from your bed. A teaspoon of cider vinegar in a cup of warm water has been said to be effective. Take a deep breath. It might be mind over matter sometimes. Comfort foods! Eat what you can, if it stays down it is probably a good thing. Slowly add more foods to your diet as possible. Sleep to avoid nausea. Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it.

Avatar n tn Are you on a restricted diet? I'm on a high protein/high fat diet (Atkins revised diet). It's working for me to drop glucose and pounds. I hate working out so I go to low impact classes which are actually fun.
Avatar m tn Sounds like your partner has done a very wise taper and is in good hands medically. In addition to the meds the clinic/his dr. are helping him with, having positive support from you will make a HUGE difference.
