Well, my honeymood period is ending, so i know im gonna have to start eating on time, and doign what is needed. My question, im a reallly picky eater, and being a diabteic dosnt help that out much.

I knew that in order for me to do this for life (did relapse and gained back 33 lbs, now within 9 lbs of goal once again!), I had to do something that would work for me. That being said, I should be quick to add that I had no MAJOR health problems and I had tried many diet plans (WW, Jenny Craig, Atkins, cabbage soup diet, you name it!!!). Guess what? ALL OF THEM WORKED! Yep. For a time. But I always gained back my lost weight and maybe more.

Avatar f tn Yea whey protein is actually worse for you than eating a steak. I personally would not, but I am a health nut and not into all that protein and fake crap thats what a healthy diet is for. I would at least ask your doctor.

I like whey protein concentrate Whey protein concentrate, NOT protein isolates Protein isolates are proteins stripped away from their nutritional cofactors. There are three problems with that... All isolates are exposed to acid processing. Your body cannot assimilate proteins in isolated form.
Avatar f tn By protein bars I mean Balance or Power bars. A lot of times I will eat them for lunch as well. I have eaten them for all three meals, although that is not typical. At least one if not two meals is typical for me. I have a lot of digestive and health problems and I'm starting to wonder how bad this habit is on my health. Where are some good resources for me to read about this? Thanks!

Avatar m tn sometimes i take whole wheat peanut butter sandwich, or ham sandwich, almonds, apples, protein shake, oatmeal bars. or foods with high fiber. I take protein bars too but they can be expensive throughout time, so i made my own.

193609 tn?1292180293 Admittedly, I do prefer Herbalife protein bars over shakes. I do, however, have a container of the Herbalife protein powder and when I am on my running regimen I add it to one shake per day. I don't notice a change in the taste at all, it still tastes just like whichever flavor of shake I have added it to. Hope this helps Cheyenne. About half hour after a run is a great time to get in some protein.

Avatar n tn Kel: Well, I'm not sure when I have a follow-up scan, but the tech said they like you to follow the diet for a week beforehand. Blah. At least it's not two weeks, I guess :( Also, our docs seem to do things differently in general, so you may not have to or maybe only for a few days before hand. Diagnostic is worlds different than therapeutic. Namely- no nausea!!!

For toppings, I at ½ the nut medley for 50 calories, ½ the dried fruits for 50 calories and ½ the brown sugar package for 25 calories. The oatmeal runs approximately 150 calories for a cup. The remaining 1/2 package of nuts and fruit will be one of my snacks today. In addition, I had a tall nonfat sugar free vanilla latte for 120 calories.
