Avatar n tn Threwout the school yaer, i would eat large ammounts of cheese, and penut butter, for my protein sources, but thats very high fat, and i gained a large amount of weight. For the past few months, ive been eating more eggs, but, im still having trouble with what to eat when im going away. If im planning on going away for the day, or im not gonna be home, finding somethign i can bring to eat can turn to be quite troublesome.
Avatar f tn She stated that protein bars and special k protein shakes were totally fine! Just dont consume protein meant for body builders and people who work out a lot. Cliff bars, luna bars, special k brand stuff are all fine for us to eat. Ive also been really lucky too my cravings have mainly been for fruits and veggies which helps!
Avatar m tn My BG levels had crept up to 150 and I had started eating these low carb high protein bars as snacks. Once I stopped eating those my BG levels came down to the 130's. I have since reduce protein amounts and I'm seeing fasting numbers in the 120 and under range. Any one else experience higher BG levels with too much protein?
Female Hi there, The calorie content of energy bars usually range from as few as 95 calories up to nearly 500 calories. Energy bars for weight gain do contain fats and carbohydrates in large amount .These bars can never compete a healthy nutritious diet. Consult a doctor before taking these energy bars.For both weight gain and weight loss diet and exercise play a very important role. Consult a nutrition expert. Do keep us posted. Avatar m tn PowerBar protein bars, CLIF protein supplement bars, etc. I feel that consuming lactose definitely worsens my symptoms, but I seem to experience them intermittently regardless of my consumption of dairy products. Any advice on how to reduce these symptoms would be greatly appreciated, as they have begun to interfere pretty heavily with my social life, and are generally extremely unpleasant.
Avatar f tn Beans, lentils, legumes, eggs...you can do some protein bars and protein shakes if you think you're not getting enough protein, you should probably ask your OB about recommendations. I drink protein shakes sometimes since I'm not a natural meat-eater and I'm in the third trimester when the baby's protein needs are pretty high.

Avatar m tn sometimes i take whole wheat peanut butter sandwich, or ham sandwich, almonds, apples, protein shake, oatmeal bars. or foods with high fiber. I take protein bars too but they can be expensive throughout time, so i made my own.

I do, however, have a container of the Herbalife protein powder and when I am on my running regimen I add it to one shake per day. I don't notice a change in the taste at all, it still tastes just like whichever flavor of shake I have added it to. Hope this helps Cheyenne. About half hour after a run is a great time to get in some protein.
Avatar f tn If your not working out your body will store the protein and make you fat. Protein can be found in nuts and beans with rice to make a complete protein. But to answer your question yes it's safe just as long as there isn't any added chemicals.

Avatar f tn Cliff bars are great. They dont need refrigerated and they they're good for you and filling. Also if you decide tp breastfeed oatmeal is good for milk production so otemeal cliff or granola bars are great.
579258 tn?1250649343 Protein im not sure but better today i know with the lunch and im sure when i get protein bars that will really help! yeah thats what im thinking too that its just an adjustment and hopefully i get used to it soon! i have not weighed myself yet but i did do the tape measure again on my waist since i been messing with the body fat thing and it says i lost an inch! so if thats true then yeah!!

Small bites of protein bars every so often, sipping high protein shakes like boost or really anything that sounds good that you actually want to eat. This helped me a bunch so i hope you try it!
