Does anyone take propranolol for anxiety and panic attacks? I've had crippling anxiety for my whole life. Antidepressants increase it to the point where I'm in such a state I almost pass out from hypervenitlating. I've heard propranolol is good for this, and is effective.

Especially if you are prone to anxiety, the not knowing only makes it worse.

s a beta-blocker mostly used to lower blood pressure but sometimes used for performance anxiety situations like stage fright, exam taking, job interviews etc. He's used it with other patients experiencing ED. I also do take the beta-blocker pindolol which has kept my BP at 125/70 for years. Shrink says very occasional and use of propranolol on top of pindolol should not be a problem but I still have concerns which I will run by my GP.

I used to take a slow-release Propranolol 80 mg every day, which caused severe tiredness and extreme fatigue, to the point that I was not able to think straight and sometimes could not even get out of bed. My doctor put me on propranolol/beta blockers on 16/04/2014 which was last month. Sometimes I was missing them and only taking 1-2 day. What I was wondering is people that have been or are stressed or been on propranolol have they had problems with their period?

Currently I am getting 90 valium a month, three a day as needed. Does it work? Honestly, I don't think so, but I am sure it prevents escalating or has some unknown benefit. Valium is a long lasting benzo, Short stuff won't protect a job. Marijuana has yet to fail me.

I am now taking propranolol for my anxiety, and it is doing wonders. Been on it for 4 months now and have not had a panic attack in that time. Not only that, but my hands don't shake like a 90 year old man anymore, and I feel much more at peace. Only problem is it is messing with my asthma that I have had my whole life, 28 year old male by the way.
