The technique for using them is different than other inhalers. If your doctor didn't train you well on how to use them, that could be part of the problem you had. Also, the fact that they are powder and the powder settles on the vocal cords and other parts of the respiratory tract causes irritation. That makes me cough constantly as well. Just a note: The HFA MDI's work much better with a spacer.

HI there, I don't know how much help I can be to you but I just wanted to say that I know how stressful it can be to have a child that is sick. To go into great detail would take all night but very basically my oldest child had severe stomach pains for 2 years. We were told by friends that it was probably in her head or that she was stressed. The doctors told us it was abdominal migraines etc. I felt that I was beating my head against the wall.
I will not lie to you one bit I will tell you exactly how it happened to me and I will be straight up honest to whether it hurt, would I do it again, etc. Good Luck to everyone and remember SVT is very treatable even though it sometimes seems like its the end of your life.
