Pristiq night sweats

Common Questions and Answers about Pristiq night sweats

pristiq

I'm sorry that I don't remember. But now taking Pristiq (the upgraded Effexor), I don't sweat at night. And I'm taking a lot of other medications. It will cost more than the Effexor which is now out in Generic. So that will depend on your insurance whether you want to try it. I switched to get my sex drive back.
If Pristiq is like Effexor, I'd avoid it. I had the night sweats and soon, apathy. When I tried to get off Effexor, I had the worst brain zaps I've ever had. I'm sorry to hear that Lexapro didn't work for you. I haven't tried that one yet. I am very interested in Valdoxan since it sounds so different.
I was kept ther for two days and eventually checked out fine. I was diagnosed as having a severe panic attack. My Psych doctor wants to put me on Pristiq. Yes, the same doctor who never mentioned the side effects of Lexapro to me. So, I am naturally worried and have done a ton of research on Web Md and other sites. It seems that this medication either works great for you from day one or it is a complete nightmare with side effects worse then your initial Anxiety.
My withdrawal symptoms include - night sweats, nausea, dizziness, bad concentration, forgetfullness, mood swings and irritability. Some days i cant get up in the morning because i feel so weak. any surgestions?
Pristiq will help you for at least 2 years without night sweats, plotting suicide ways of doing it. Effexor is crap. But fact you are getting off it means that it would be against advice, which say's you are in denial because of the way people treat us on these meds. My useby date at 50 is over because I also now have been diagnosed with ADHD. That would explain my super robot mechanic output fueled and swimming in alcohol while working.
I don't agree with taking marijuana, though, still technically federally illegal, I believe. You might be having a hormonal imbalance causing your night sweats (and may want to check with a gyn doctor or endocrinologist about those if it turns out not to be one of the drugs you are taking causing it). Have you tried Chinese acupuncture for the migraines, other pain, and insomnia? What about occasional use of over the counter insomnia treatments, such as passion flower or valerian root?
5 every other day and feeling okay I stopped and started my new prescription, Wellbutrin-- well, for two days now I'm nauseous, shaky, hot/cold sweats, feel like my eyes are vibrating somewhat when I make too fast of motion with my head. It's as if I have symptoms of Vertigo and can't fix it. I'd rather be shot in the foot and deal with that discomfort and pain than these annoying side-effects. What do I do?
so recently my biggest problem has been my EXTREME anxiety that has gone left hanging in the air after ive been taking 100 mgs of wellbutrin twice a day. ive always been taking ssri's so in a way they kinda both helped me with the depression/anxiety thing in general. it wasnt until a couple months after being on wellbutrin that i found out that it has no connection to help with anxiety & it is simply used for severe depression.
My OBGYN also put me on Effexor for hot flashes and night sweats because I wasn't a candidate for hormone therapy and I'm going thru' menopause. I happen to have POTS, but wasn't put on the medication for the POTS. I became very sick after that with nausea, shakiness, and a most terrible moodiness. I had to be taken off the medication and it took quite a while to get out of my system. That being said, I've read good things about it; for POTS and menopausal changes.
I awoke, semi-rested... I experienced a lot of night sweats last night. Tonight I've taken 5mg and here I sit, sorta tired, but not ready to go to bed yet. I feel a bit chesty after taking the medicine.... I'm not sweaty tonight. I'm hoping this works for me -- unsure why I'm experiencing panic at all.. but it happens. Good luck with the medicine... Hope it works for you.
anti depressant, which explains why when I took it at night, I could never sleep. Prozac can actually be used in people with ADHD ADD for this reason. Cymbalta is more of a "calming" antidepresant. I have heard VERY good things about it! I would also recommend researching it online.
I eat very healthy and well balanced, and exercise daily, though find having to eat ice cream and more carbs to gain weight as I am constantly cold, prior to Xanax when I was anxious I would break a sweat and completly go mind blank. I have pretty bad night sweats now though, and I sweat heavily under my armpits and drink about 4 gallons of water or gatorade a day as I am constantly thirsty. Though I think this has to do with the Pritiq. I read through this woman's manual: http://www.benzo.
I have had three continuous symptoms for over 6 months which all started a couple of weeks following my risk exposure. These are thrush, pain in buttocks/lower back and night sweats. Just wanted to confirm a couple of things 1. Are these ARS symptoms? 2. Is it possible to have ongoing ARS symptoms for 6 months following exposure?.
Good diet, plenty fruit, veg, dairy. v low fat. No weight loss, have had headache, intermittent sweats with occasional low tempx 2 weeks. Sleep well. No pain at night that I can tell. Starts when I get up. Currently on Pariet 40mg 1 a day. Have been on Somac - no help. Nexium long term, minimal help. Pariet seems to be helping the dyspepia now; lessened sense of choking, globus and trouble swallowing. What concerns me is the abd pain.
The type where I was witnessing gross murders and mutilations and many times committing them myself. Nausea, brain zaps, tremors, fatigue, cold sweats... you name it I had it. So they put me on Prozac. It took about another 2 weeks but finally the symptoms subsided and I was feeling great. Apparently I was very ill and had to be on medication to regulate those symptoms. They were certainly not discontinuation symptoms (or so they told me).
When you're ready to stop the Gaba, wean Very slowly. 800mgs TID, is quite a dose. I was on only on 300mgs a night for 2mos, stopped c/t due to stomach issues and man, what a mistake! I quit taking it beginning of Dec and except for the the severe tinnitus (off and on Still!!) I am just this last week feeling normal again. Best of luck!
It helped with depression but not my FM. I got up to 50 in the morining and 25 PM and sweats started, insomnia, hypertension, ringing ears, sore throat, nausea. Check your blood pressure because these SNRI's are notorious for raising BP which can give you headaches. www.drugs.com is an excellent site for info on drugs. Down at the bottom of the page are more detailed links of each drug....concise, professional, drug interactions, side effects.
5 so my head wouldnt feel like it was exploding. Since then Ive been taking 1.5 in the morning, and .75 at night, just so make sure those feelings won't come back. But.. thats not helping the situation. I do not want to be an addict. I don't even drink. It's driving my crazy to have this feeling like someone else is in control of my body. And then I read these forums and realize the amount I've been taking is nothing compared to everyone elses. How could I even be addicted???
It's awful. I do take it at night, the lexapro, that is. But I hate that because then I stay up all night suffering with it's awful side effects. They're so powerful that I literally dread each dose. I actually felt better emotionally BEFORE I started lexapro at all, which is saying something. Personally, if I had to switch my schedule, I'd rather take it during the day instead of at night, which I what I've been doing now, simply because maybe I could get sone damn sleep then.
Sharp stabbing pain in one exact spot on the my left collar bone. 4. Major night sweats, EVERY night. 5. My left shoulder is always tense and nothing relaxes it. 6. Severe depression and anxiety. I started taking Savella over a month ago, after a very bad reaction to Cymbalta which I had taken for about 5 weeks-every time my heart rate would go up I would get shaky, tunnel vision and almost pass out- I saw a SMALL decrease in pain over the last few weeks, but the Diarrhea, stomach cramps, and insomnia are KILLING ME, along with the sweats.

I had my Hysterectomy on 02/08/07. I started with hot flashes & night drenches (not sweats!) within 3 wks after my surgery. My Dr. started me on Estratest. My May I was having crying spells & I went to my regular M.D. & ask him if maybe it was my thyroid, as I take synthroid. He told me he bet it was my hormones & he did bloodwork & forwarded the results to my GYN. My regular M.D. told me then he thought I needed to go to a compounding pharmacy.

about 4 years ago I had a panic attack out of no where, my first one, this included major chest pins and impending death. Ever since that day i wold have an attack at night, i was afraid of being alone at night for some reason. This all started after my fathers leg surgery was botched and he got blood clots. I started to feel pains in my leg thinking i had blood clots myself, he would get chest pains, i would get them too every pain he had i had.
Lithium has less severe side effects than Lamictal in fact Lamotrigine prescribing information has a black box warning about life threatening skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis and its side effects also include (Commonly) headaches, dizziness and insomnia.
