pristiq hot flashes

I took Savella for a while I had light hot flashes occassionaly, but it gave me manic burst of paranoia and energy so I don't take it anymore, heart was beating like a rabbit. Pristiq has given me hot flashes as well but it's gotten less often as I have been on it. It may just be common to these types of drugs. You'll probably try a few before settling on the right one for you.

Now for the past 3 wks or so ive had horrible hot flashes and for about 2 wks i have really bad nightmares, also bn feeling on edge again i have mood swings outta no where, breast tenderness as well hmm wonder if that has anything to do with it but just throwing it out there.

July/09 I started taking effexor 75mg for anxiety & by Dec/09 was taking 187.5mg(150+37.5). I had already experienced hot flashes as part of menopause but this internal heat was so extreme, sweat would pour off me just getting ready to go to work in the morning & while at work I had a fan on me all the time! Winter here can get to 30 below celcius so why was I that hot all the time! From then up to Nov/09(a year) I visited my dr. to ask why this was happening.

I have been on 50mg pristiq for a couple of months now. I switched from 200mg Zoloft. First of all, I have gained weight, I am fatigued all the time. I sleep and after a couple of hours need another hour or so nap. I am not motivated to do anything, my body aches all over. The one thing I love about Pristiq is no 'hot flashes' and profuse sweating, but I am beginning to wonder if the bad side effects are going to get any better. If not I will have to switch back.

s perscribe it after hysterectomies for help with hot flashes and mood swings due to hormone changes, but also saw that some cardio Dr.s prescribe it also to help with POTS. Does anyone here have any experience with it?

I am a 52 year old female. Post menopause and on hormones. Just hot my thyroid levels at a good level. I switched from pristiq to cymbalta back in November. I am tired ALL the time. More than when my thyroid was out of whack. Could the cymbalta be causing this and if so, what if I took it at night?

Every time i do anything that exerts energy such as cleaning and then i go to lay down i get really bad hot flashes

I want to know if this causes hot flashes with normal glucose levels at the time? Or with high glucose levels? I get hot flashed quite frequently and my temp rises. Sometimes up to 99.1, other times lower. I am a male so menopause is out. I am on Humalog and Lantus for insulin. Any help would be great. Thank you.

I'm 18 weeks and I just started having hot flashes.

I'm 29+6, and I am having crazy hot flashes n insomnia. When I am able to sleep I wake up drenched n cold from sweat. This is my 4th pregnancy and I've never experienced this before. Ive been experiencing extreme hot flashes the last few days. To the point where i have difficulty breathing. Very little seems to help. Has anyone else experienced this. Any suggestions on relief?

I got hot flashes first trimester. Now at almost 20 weeks I wake up every time in a full on sweat.

If you have any other symptoms, get checked for any virus or other sickness, but just hot flashes is usually normal. I have them, mostly at night, and our bedroom is in the basement where it's nice and freezing. Just stay hydrated and hopefully they let up. They should go away post pregnancy. Good luck!
