Pristiq cost with insurance

Common Questions and Answers about Pristiq cost with insurance

pristiq

Avatar f tn I switched mostly because of the cost. $80/month as opposed to 15. What other drug is similar to pristiq without the high cost?
Avatar n tn Psychiatrist started me on Viibryd on Monday, April 23, at 10 mg. per day because he was out of Pristiq samples (I have no insurance and no money for medicine). Not feeling well at all! How long will it be before I begin to feel better? I am on day 4 with Viibryd. Will the Viibryd help balance me out? Thank you.
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Pristiq but i found out it was going to cost be around 140.00 for the prescription. I wanted to know if it was worth paying this much for?
1615215 tn?1298648648 Last year I got diagnosed with MS in the states , now I was supposed to get my treatment back home , however im having problems with my insurance here.. When I was there I heard that if I did some kind of couse in the country for at least 6 months I could get the treatment. I ll apreciate if anyone knows anything about this subject in Maryland or DC ..
Avatar n tn The difference between the full cost of a treatment (which the uninsured often are charged), and the amount the insurance company tells them they will pay is often quite a bit. If you have cash and offer to pay up front (for a discount) you may get charged less than what they can get out of the insurance company, because it's less hassle and instant money for them. Just a thought, even if you had to borrow the money. Will your Endo accept results from another facility?
Avatar m tn My doctor (who I think is brilliant and I feel very comfortable with) told me he has placed many of his other patients on Pristiq with good results. As I mentioned previously, it is supposed to have very few side effects, if any; but of course every body is different. If you do not trust your doctor, maybe you could get a second opinion.

Avatar f tn Below is some info I have posted on here in the past about how to manage without insurance (free strips and free insulin). I'm a Type 1 without insurance too. Since diabetes is a pre-existing condition, insurance is very expensive. If anyone on here knows of any good prices on insurance for diabetics, please share--it would be greatly appreciated! Some great resources for locating free and low cost clinics are the two links I have listed below.
Avatar f tn In what country are you? In the USA, it is anywhere from $18,000 to $30,000.
Avatar f tn this should be the last month I have that high copay but you take that with the cost of the supplemental 200 and the SSI 110 and you are shelling out a 1000 a mo for medical which I know compared to some is nothing but I am trying to figure out what to do in future so I'm not living in my car taking pills....LOL. My Xifanan is the most expensive right now but to get any help with it will affect my supplemental.
Avatar m tn He offered me benzos which I declined--why add rocket fuel to the fire of my addiction? I was on zoloft once and it helped with anxiety and then was on Pristiq which did it one better, helped me sleep but did not make me drowsy during the day. But it is prescribed for depression, not anxiety. Still he gave me a script for it and my insurance said no.... So, just living with the anxiety. I have decided to get a massage tomorrow.
Avatar f tn My insurance covered it with just my copay at our doctors office. I would call your insurance to see if they cover it or even partly cover it.
Avatar f tn That's with insurance^^ it's about $10-20,000 for vaginal dependin on complications needs...
Avatar n tn umm in the usa without insurance, n im chronic.
763054 tn?1314053121 s insurance (turned 25) At that point I had no insurance for any of my meds. The bill for buying this medication outright without insurance was well over $1,500 a month if not over $2,000. I still had a little effexor and trileptal left over so i decided to use it very sparingly only taking one of each a day, still the withdrawals were HORRIBLE. Alas all my meds ran out and i was suffering withdrawal from 5 medications at once. I tried to find insurance for myself...
1036535 tn?1278502599 Looking at the EOB from insurance they repeatedly charged me for something that cost $89.72. The only thing I got more several times was Pepsi, and I know an 8 oz. can doesn't cost that much ;) I can't believe the stupid insurance company paid this right away, but haven't paid other, more legitimate things without a fight!
Avatar f tn I have been on cymbalta since the beginning of this year. It has actually been one of the only meds that have helped my depression. I have yet seen any horrible side effects, I have gained weight but that is more than likely due to the lithium I take. Cymbalta is expensive, and a lot of insurance companies won't cover it, so make sure to call your insurance company to see how much of it they will cover.
Avatar f tn Beyond annoyed. With my first pregnancy I had blue cross and it only cost $200 a month for my husband and I. And it was absolutely amazing. Now with this one we have aetna and since all the crazy healthcare act junk it cost us over $500 a month. And they don't even cover my 20 week anatomy scan. It goes towards my deductible which is extremely frustrating. Pretty angry I pay so much every month to make other people's lives easier essentially only to haveto stress about money myself.
Avatar f tn Yes you do, here in the UK we have the nhs so we don't have to pay, but other countries like US don't have nhs they have health insurance instead so, like with our car insurance, if u don't have insurance or ur insurance doesn't cover it then u have to pay
Avatar f tn You are getting a great deal. On SOC with my insurance, I paid $100. for the peg/interferon and $40.
Avatar f tn Yea charlotte, I took Abilify with Pristiq. (On different meds now) The Abilify was added a few months after the Pristiq because even at 100Mgs the Pristiq was just not working good enough. At the time Abilify was a very new drug so I was wanting to try it anyway. I don't want you to go only by my experience with Abilify, but it failed to help me much at all even at higher dosages.
Avatar f tn And I should add, though anti-depressants such as pristiq aren't technically addictive, they can be hard to quit for many people. That's why I say, if you need them you need them, but if you don't, you don't.
Avatar m tn This varies with or w/o insurance. Let us know what meds you will be taking, and we can provide you with specifics. Please take the time to read about the % your liver can be damaged if you continue drinking AT ALL. Best of luck to you.
799360 tn?1239288130 My medical coverage was playing the fight game with the Rx on which one should cover it? So my suggestion is to call your insurance and ask them if they cover it at all? Good luck.
