Avatar n tn Since posting I looked at the AAA website and found a printable list of autos (in a section open to nonmembers, too) with features that are helpful to those with certain conditions such as diminished vision from cataracts and glaucoma, and physical limitations due to arthritis, etc. I also read that cars with a digital display of speed on the dashboard, as opposed to the traditional speedometer with a needle against the dial, can be helpful to those with diminished vision.

Avatar f tn Make a detailed day to day symptom check list for yourself. Make a one page or less list for your doctor or most likely he will not read it. Usually on the intake form they will ask you about symptoms.May be MS for dummies or something on line has a check list for you to follow.
Avatar n tn If you eat junk food, such as chips, cookies, candy, etc, you should exchange them for veggies, fruit cheese, yogurt, low fat dairy, nuts, seeds, etc. Opt for plenty of protein and complex carbs and limit simple carbs, such as those found in sugary foods, products made from white flour, white rice, regular pasta etc. Opt for whole grain breads and pastas, sweet potatoes, etc. Exchange sodas and fruit juices for water or other unsweetened beverages. Try Stevia instead of sugar.
Avatar f tn They did blood work and everything was fine there, they did a MRI on my back thinking maybe lumbar or a disc problem but there was a slight encroachment but that was not causing foot drop. They checked for diabetes and I was not diabetic. The Dr. Gave me an EMG and discovered nerve damage but could not locate exactly where but estimated it was from my hip. He called it sciatic neuropathy with unknown cause. I received a foot brace that fit in my shoe and it helped a little.
Avatar n tn However, if he is exercising, then he can get away with eating something like a whole fruit right before exercising (depending on his glucose level) beforehand and the cardio exercise will even it out. There is a Diabetic Exchange Diet that is in books where they assign you certain amount of meat, bread amounts that you can have at each meal - or trade off a lean meat for a little more fat, etc. so you don't have to count calories.

Avatar m tn We've had many requests to create an easy print feature for our trackers and PHRs. PHRs are now printable, but we're still working on trackers. Even though there is no print button for the tracker, you're still able to print out your information to take to your doctor's visit. Please follow the instructions described in this post: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/574416 We'll let you know when the full featured print functionality is available.
Avatar f tn ) but go for a walk or exercise after. The main thing is not eat too much. Protein helps alot so you stay fuller longer. And protein doesn't break down into sugars later.
Avatar f tn If you are newly diagnosed diabetic or pre diabetic, please talk with your doctor or better yet a diabetic educator to figure what combination of things will work for you. Get a test meter and test your blood sugar to see how different foods affect you. Go to other websites where there are people who have been successfully managing diabetes for man years and listen to what works for them, recognizing that we are all different.
136689 tn?1419580447 Having a printable view is a great idea. There might even be utility in having a separate "medical view" for some of the trackers.
Avatar f tn Ok.
Avatar f tn If you google it you can find some easy printable ones. I threw a shower for a friend and we found a baby unscramble and one that was like a price is right game where they guess the price of various baby items and then whoever is the closest for all of them wins. I used some of my kids' stuff for that but then bought some and gave them to my friend after the shower. It was a great way for her to get more stuff.
Avatar m tn It seems to me, that if you want to control/modify a meal you have inserted in your list, this appears with no order, or with one I don't understand; so, if you have inserted a lot of meals, it is a little difficult to find the meal you want to control to: I think it could be useful, if possible, to have it alphabetically ordered, as it appears when you choose one of your meals, to insert it in your diary. ... ...
Avatar f tn Peripheral neuropathy is more of a symptom than a diagnosis. I guess Idiopathic Peripheral Neuropathy (Peripheral Neuropathy with unknown cause) could be a diagnosis. Peripheral neuropathy can be from toxins (including alcohol,) Diabetic Neuropathy, etc. Once all the "symptom related diseases" have been ruled out, and you can't find a cause, then a diagnosis of Idiopathic Peripheral Neuropathy would seem appropriate.

Avatar f tn I went by a check list that they give you.. Did you get one of those? Just letting you know a lot of people don't go off the registry but you can always return/exchange the things you don't need for something you do! If you need a crib or a play pen I would put that on there! But look into a check list they are great to use! I believe "babies r us" has one online!
