I'm taking omeprazole(prilosec) and have been since I was about 16weeks I couldn't eat or drink even water it was so bad I didn't wanna take any medicine either but it was so bad and the Dr assured me it was safe.

If you are past 12 weeks you can take Prilosec. I had horrible heartburn. After taking it for two days I had relief. You can take it up to 14 days at a time. I only needed it for 4 now I am fine and don't need it. FYI I am 37 weeks..heartburn picks up toward the end.

I was told not to. Because of something in it. I take Walmart brand acid reducer it helps with heardburn and acid reflux.

Omeprozole.. I'm pretty sure that's what its called. Look up generic prilosec otc, its safe and started working the day I starting taking it. I had terrible heartburn too.

Ranitidine. You can find it at walmart with the zantec it is completely safe during pregnancy ive had to take it with both of mine.

This preggy chick needs to stay out of walmart! Is it just me or is walmart just a meeting place for every idiot in town??

Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.

hey thank you for your time. i take prilosec everyday cant go with out it i have reflux really bad is the a bad thing for my stomack will it cause problems down the road been on it for at least 2-3 years do come off of it now and than take zanta for a week but it not as good.

I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.

You can get U iT otc at like walmart. I was dealing with the same thing last night. But it kept comin up. Took 2 of those and within 15 min it was gone.

I wonder how many of us have anxiety in Walmart? I have been practicing exposure training (having [panic attacks) purposely by going into Walmart and making myself stay in the store for 45 minutes to an hour. It is hell I tell you. So, if you see anybody freaking out in the spice ailse, that would be me!

Wtf she is not being annoying! Lol. That was rude of you to say that... she just stating a fact! The people who work at Walmart don't even do their job half the time! An it's not that hard for them to go look in the back. They always have one or two back there.. if they Don't have it on the shelves then it's always good to ask. Because most of the time they have some in the back. So there's no need to be rude....

I went to a doctor(general physician) and complained of stomach pain(I had anxiety) and said I had cold waves. The doc prescribed me to Prilosec. Never ever I had heard of the term heartburn or experienced it in my life until that point. Not knowing what I was suffering thru, 3rd day into the medicine I suffered from throat burn. Few more days I had sever burning sensation in my back and every google search text for my symptoms lead to the title GERD.

Is there anyone else who gets heart burn so bad that you don't eat? I havent eaten since 330pm today and it is now 12:02am. And I am afraid to eat because of my heart burn being so bad. And I would take my prilosec but I am out and they won't fill it until the doc changes my prescription and lord only knows how long that will take. I already have heart burn and I can't lay down till it goes away or I will throw up... I was just wanting to see if this happens to anyone else..

Besides the cost, is their truly a difference between Nexim and Prilosec. The active components in Nexium are esomprazole magnesium and in Prilosec are Omeprazole Magnesium. Also, Nexium comes in 20 mg and 40 mg capsules and Prilosec is sold over the counter in 20 mg tablets. My GI switched me to Nexium because Aciphex gave me terrible side effects and Protonix made my water brash symptoms ever worse. I have tried Prilosec in the past and it didn't have much of an effect for me.

Hi, my doc put me on 14d Prevpac treatment today. I've been taking Prilosec during the past month or so to get my symptoms under control. It works quite well for me. I have never taken Prevacid before. Are these two the same thing? Can I use Prilosec to substitute the Prevacid in the pack? I'm scared of stopping Prilosec as my symptoms always get worse when I tried to wean myself off the drug in the past.

I been taken prilosec otc for 14 days for heart burn.its the best med out there.so i finished the 14 day trial and i dont have heart burn any more but i still feel a little small burn so i asked a pharmacyst if its safe to take more than 14 days she said yes it is but the resson the box sais to consult a doctor is to make sure its not self medicated .

Is there an appropriate way of getting off of Prilosec? I have been taking it for almost two months and starting to think that all the symptoms I am experiencing are from the Prilosec. After all GI test have come back normal and all the test from my regular physician have come back normal, I want to quit Prilosec. The first month I was taking one 20mg pill in the morning and one 20mg at night. Now I am only taking one 20mg pill a day. Do I quit cold turkey?

You can take Prilosec twice a day and you can get it at Walmart over the counter. Try it 1/2 hour before breakfast and dinner for two weeks and see how you feel. I was concerned about taking too many meds, he said that this was one of the safest meds out there.

Anyone with HepC taking 20 mg. of Prilosec? My dr. said ok to take, but I'd feel better if anyone else is/has used it. Either a prescription or OTC.

I work at walmart and I am 23 weeks pregnant I told them of my pregnancy and they are deliberately making me lift things now. I have been told to climb latter and carry things weighing 100 pounds and push things weighing 200+ I told them it was bugging me and creating cramps they told me tough.
