After a couple of weeks I started having heart palpitations, sometimes for 9 straight hours. After decreasing my dosage back to 20 mg once daily, the palpitations stopped. The doctor now wants me to take Prevacid, but I am worried about the side effects.
SAME PROBLEM; I don't eat any complex carbohydrates at all but here's the other fyi item. I ate 3 avacados yesterday and was in so much pain I couldn't move an then vomited and still have residual stomach pain today. Anyhow, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

This was when I realized that the feeling of intense pressure that I have felt in the abdomen seemed to be caused by the Prilosec. Prilosec adverse side effects noted AFTER clinical trials included abdominal swelling. When I went off the Prilosec again these symptoms had cleared in two days. The GI doc is doing a gallbladder scan and then an endoscopy to see what's happening there. But the intense abdominal pressure is GONE.
I developed a sensitivity to light (hurt my eyes, and blurred vision) chalked it up to anxiety and possible side-effects from the antibiotics. Also, started having indigestion and abdominal pain and distention, rolling in my abdomen and gurgling and my stool changed. No diarrhea but the color was more yellow and floating. Or, could he be using Opitates behind my back and this is a side effect from the opiates? I'm confused and unsure of the realities of PEGylated interferon treatment and opiate addiction.

Last Summer I began to experience extreme itching after a day working outiside. I had attributed this to high perspiration and bacteria growth. I took lots of showers using bacterial soap to no avail. Then, I experienced an extreme case of facial swelling (lips, eyes and asthma like throat restriction) after a dinner meal. The symptoms disappeared in about 24 hours. That came and went in over a period of several months.
