Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.

hey thank you for your time. i take prilosec everyday cant go with out it i have reflux really bad is the a bad thing for my stomack will it cause problems down the road been on it for at least 2-3 years do come off of it now and than take zanta for a week but it not as good.

I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.

The occasional part for the last 2 years or so. Quit for good 2 months ago as well. Have had these symptoms 3 years ago or so and Prilosec OTC cured it. I have taken Lotrel 5/20 for several years. I have also taken Prilosec OTC each day (directed by gastroenterologist) for 3 years ( +/-) I have had strange feelings in the bottom of my feet for about the same time that I have taken Lotrel. Was told it was from Morton's Neuromas. For the last 2-3 years my lower legs have felt "like tree stumps" and are getting progressively worse. I have fallen 3 times in the last two months because my left foot was not where I thought it was.

Then I spent 2 hours to finally figure it out and actually lost it on a worker at the company because I was 4 days past due on my payments and he kept bugging me to pay even though I made it clear I would call back I just need the rebate number. They fixed it but I had to drive an hours to sign a paper to get it. Then I went into the bathroom and the people upstairs moved out but forgot to mention their toilet was leaking.

I've struggled with heartburn for years (36 year old male) and am overweight. Former GP suggested I go on Prilosec OTC, once daily, and for the past 3-4 years I've been heartburn free. Hi, my doc put me on 14d Prevpac treatment today. I've been taking Prilosec during the past month or so to get my symptoms under control. It works quite well for me. I have never taken Prevacid before. Are these two the same thing? Can I use Prilosec to substitute the Prevacid in the pack? I'm scared of stopping Prilosec as my symptoms always get worse when I tried to wean myself off the drug in the past.
