220090 tn?1379167187 "The federal government is sending each of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money goes to China. If we spend it on gasoline it goes to the Arabs. If we buy a computer it will go to India. If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala. If we purchase a good car it will go to Germany. If we purchase useless **** it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.
Avatar f tn Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.

Avatar f tn I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.
1530342 tn?1405016490 A year ago Njoku, a construction worker, had just purchased his first home and qualified for a federal rebate for first-time home buyers on his tax return. He says he requested to have the rebate deposited directly into his Chase bank account in Auburn, Wash., but when the IRS rebate arrived, he found out that Chase had closed his account because of overdrawn checks. The bank deducted $600 to cover what he owed and mailed Njoku a cashier's check of $8,463.21 to make up the difference.
Avatar n tn Do you have GERD (acid reflux)? If you are lying down when this happens, it could very well be this. Try elevating your head at night, plus taking Prilosec (OTC) is good.
Avatar m tn The occasional part for the last 2 years or so. Quit for good 2 months ago as well. Have had these symptoms 3 years ago or so and Prilosec OTC cured it. Symptoms: Heavy burping and farting at times after meals. Sometimes burping without meals. Occasional stomach sorness. Loud over active bowels at times. Nervousness or anxiety combined with indigestion. Tightness of chest and breathing. Elevated blood pressure.
Avatar f tn Wal-Mart's registry page has a check list online of everything you need. had a hard time doing there registry online so just went to their customer service & used gun to click items. They weren't very helpful though. Did 1 at Target they same way & they were awesome, even gave me a lil goody bag!

Avatar n tn What should I do and what should I expect from the dentists when I bring this up to them? Am I not entitled to some sort of price break or rebate here?
Avatar n tn I have taken Lotrel 5/20 for several years. I have also taken Prilosec OTC each day (directed by gastroenterologist) for 3 years ( +/-) I have had strange feelings in the bottom of my feet for about the same time that I have taken Lotrel. Was told it was from Morton's Neuromas. For the last 2-3 years my lower legs have felt "like tree stumps" and are getting progressively worse. I have fallen 3 times in the last two months because my left foot was not where I thought it was.
Avatar f tn I am now taking two antibiotics, prilosec, and a probiotic. My question is why do I still have Australians occasional heartburn. I still have 6 days left of treatment. Anybody want to offer any thoughts?Thank you.
574266 tn?1218512994 I take the OTC prilosec and that has helped my stomach alot. Hope this helps.
9121436 tn?1407979502 t qualified for the $80 rebate I have waited 6 weeks for. Then I spent 2 hours to finally figure it out and actually lost it on a worker at the company because I was 4 days past due on my payments and he kept bugging me to pay even though I made it clear I would call back I just need the rebate number. They fixed it but I had to drive an hours to sign a paper to get it. Then I went into the bathroom and the people upstairs moved out but forgot to mention their toilet was leaking.
Avatar m tn They gave me this whole list of things to avoid, which you know (tomatoes, acidy fruits, coffee, alcohol, whole milk, etc.) and perscribed medication. I forget.... Maybe prilosec? But there's so much I haven't tried! If I take the medication, can I eat my favorite foods again? Or will it eventually go away if I stay on the drugs? Do I have to eat bread, fish and leavesfor dinner all my life from now on?
317787 tn?1473358451 t affordable under the current conditions. Gilead could offer there product at a reduced price to the government as is done with private insurance companies. That sounds way to easy. Its complicated. All drugs historically are presented at a inflated price. Giving the drug companies the chance to make as much money as possible. Over the years the price goes down. They also are high just before they go to generic and if a better product isn't available.
Avatar m tn I've struggled with heartburn for years (36 year old male) and am overweight. Former GP suggested I go on Prilosec OTC, once daily, and for the past 3-4 years I've been heartburn free. Recently, I've started to experience some symptoms which have driven me to my doctor again as a precaution: chest tightness, heavy feeling in center of chest, occasional flushed face, lump in throat when swallowing, sinus and ear fullness, occasional hoarseness or cough, slight fatigue.
1448936 tn?1363206346 For the past week I've been dealing with horrible stomach burning and nausea. It feels like my stomach is on fire and it makes me incredibly nauseous. I've been taking zantac and tums but neither offer me much relief. I feel the worst after eating. But it doesn't matter what I eat...I try eating bland foods like noodle soup, saltines, bananas etc but I still feel awful. I sometimes feel hungry but still nauseated at the same time so I have no desire to eat.
Avatar n tn Besides the cost, is their truly a difference between Nexim and Prilosec. The active components in Nexium are esomprazole magnesium and in Prilosec are Omeprazole Magnesium. Also, Nexium comes in 20 mg and 40 mg capsules and Prilosec is sold over the counter in 20 mg tablets. My GI switched me to Nexium because Aciphex gave me terrible side effects and Protonix made my water brash symptoms ever worse. I have tried Prilosec in the past and it didn't have much of an effect for me.
1806721 tn?1554333407 Hi, my doc put me on 14d Prevpac treatment today. I've been taking Prilosec during the past month or so to get my symptoms under control. It works quite well for me. I have never taken Prevacid before. Are these two the same thing? Can I use Prilosec to substitute the Prevacid in the pack? I'm scared of stopping Prilosec as my symptoms always get worse when I tried to wean myself off the drug in the past.
