prilosec maker

Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.

hey thank you for your time. i take prilosec everyday cant go with out it i have reflux really bad is the a bad thing for my stomack will it cause problems down the road been on it for at least 2-3 years do come off of it now and than take zanta for a week but it not as good.

I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.

My husband was told he needed a pace maker, but was also told that if he got one, he couldn't stay on the liver transplant list. Is this true? It wasn't the transplant group that told him this, it was the doctor who had gone over his heart tests and who would be putting in his pace maker. He is very upset and worried about this. He's been on the liver transplant list for 7 years.

His dr said the dizziness was due to old age and the heart does not pump enough blood anymore. his dr said the solution is to put a pace maker. my question is what is the risk benefit ratio for him of his age? thank you.

I have a pace maker and i weld for a living i was told not to weld without protection and as far as i can tell none available was told to use a ex-ray vest most likely ffrom the dental side of medicine is this possible

I had a pace maker ( Altrua 60 DDDR is-1) six days ago. Now I feel worst. I have shortness of breath and when I stand my blood pressure drops dramatically as low as 84/30. Sitting is pretty normal. I am taking Sotalol HCL 120 mg 1/2 tablet twice a day. I can not climb stairs or do much walking with out struggling to breath. Is this normal for a new heart Pacer implant? Do I need to give it more time? I might add that I suffer from autonomic neuropathy.

Besides the cost, is their truly a difference between Nexim and Prilosec. The active components in Nexium are esomprazole magnesium and in Prilosec are Omeprazole Magnesium. Also, Nexium comes in 20 mg and 40 mg capsules and Prilosec is sold over the counter in 20 mg tablets. My GI switched me to Nexium because Aciphex gave me terrible side effects and Protonix made my water brash symptoms ever worse. I have tried Prilosec in the past and it didn't have much of an effect for me.

Hi, my doc put me on 14d Prevpac treatment today. I've been taking Prilosec during the past month or so to get my symptoms under control. It works quite well for me. I have never taken Prevacid before. Are these two the same thing? Can I use Prilosec to substitute the Prevacid in the pack? I'm scared of stopping Prilosec as my symptoms always get worse when I tried to wean myself off the drug in the past.

I been taken prilosec otc for 14 days for heart burn.its the best med out there.so i finished the 14 day trial and i dont have heart burn any more but i still feel a little small burn so i asked a pharmacyst if its safe to take more than 14 days she said yes it is but the resson the box sais to consult a doctor is to make sure its not self medicated .

Is there an appropriate way of getting off of Prilosec? I have been taking it for almost two months and starting to think that all the symptoms I am experiencing are from the Prilosec. After all GI test have come back normal and all the test from my regular physician have come back normal, I want to quit Prilosec. The first month I was taking one 20mg pill in the morning and one 20mg at night. Now I am only taking one 20mg pill a day. Do I quit cold turkey?

my doctor will not let off prilosec i am scared i been on this medicine to long i heard alot of bad things if you take it long time you can get esophaus cancer .

Dear Doctors & Friends, My father is 79 years old and has had multiple heart attacks beginning approximately 15 years ago when he was airlifted to the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Within the last 10-12 years, he has had 3 angioplasty(?) procedures, i.e "balloons" to remover blockages. Has been on multiple meds including Toprol (?) & daily doses of nitro. He moved to the south to live near my older sister & me appx. 3 years ago.
