Prilosec leg pain

Common Questions and Answers about Prilosec leg pain

prilosec

Avatar f tn Well, sometimes it can be tricky to differentiate what is going on. However, you have had follow up and testing for heart health. Gerd can indeed cause all of these symptoms including chest pain. What treatment for Gerd do they have you on?
646529 tn?1223616794 I too have experienced exactly the same thing, but my episodes are almost exclusively at night. It is usually my leg that feels numb though not my left arm. I'm currently on Prilosec (PPI) to treat the GERD. All of this started when the GERD started so hopefully treating the GERD will help the others go away as well.
Avatar m tn I get extremely painful muscle spasms in right leg below the knee. It's always my right leg. My doctor prescribed 300 - 600 mg a night. This does not seem to be very effective. Also have acid reflux. Prilosec is not as effective as it once was. I was on prednisone for years for polymyalgia rheumatica. No known side effects. I wonder if it would help with the muscle spasms I am 78 yrs old and aside from the above, in excellent health. Suggestions welcome!
Avatar n tn I have taken Lotrel 5/20 for several years. I have also taken Prilosec OTC each day (directed by gastroenterologist) for 3 years ( +/-) I have had strange feelings in the bottom of my feet for about the same time that I have taken Lotrel. Was told it was from Morton's Neuromas. For the last 2-3 years my lower legs have felt "like tree stumps" and are getting progressively worse. I have fallen 3 times in the last two months because my left foot was not where I thought it was.
Avatar n tn I take one Prilosec, 20-mg, a day with no pain. Prilosec OTC, is 10-mg, is a good start. Take two if you later think you need it.. If I take two Prilosec, 20-mg, I get dry-mouth, so I only need one for 24 hours. Judge whether a capsule or tablet suits you, then decide whether you think you do not need to see a doctor. If you later decide you do need a doctor's care, a procedure namesed Upper GI Series can be performed by a Gastroenterologist.
Avatar f tn Are you having leg pains and cramps? I really can't tell by your post. Does it hurt when you walk? I hate taking meds too and avoid them at all costs if possible. If your pain or cramps persist, I would see another doctor and have an ultra-sound performed to rule out any internal problems. The gastric problem, in my opinion, is an entirely different subject, and I don't think it would cause the leg pains, etc.
Avatar n tn i read one of ur post that u do get armain leg pain. im also having same kind of problem.i m 6 weak 2 days pregnant.
Avatar m tn I have been having some unexplained, gradual groin pain (mainly right side). It starts about middle of the inner groin and down upper thigh (and back of leg/buttocks). I realize this could be a muscular tear or joint dysfunction but have some real Health Anxiety of a swollen tonsillar node that my ENT is watching (enlarged and a little more firm, but have history of mono and chronic throat infections).
Avatar f tn I recently stopped Pepcid due to dizziness and hallucinations, and found that it had also been the cause of unexplained itching and right leg pain (all subsided when I stopped the med). I have had chest pain on Nexium and zantac. Now that I am on the Prilosec, I am having shortness of breath, chest tightness, dizziness, and malaise. Is this serious? If I have H.

Avatar m tn Is there an appropriate way of getting off of Prilosec? I have been taking it for almost two months and starting to think that all the symptoms I am experiencing are from the Prilosec. After all GI test have come back normal and all the test from my regular physician have come back normal, I want to quit Prilosec. The first month I was taking one 20mg pill in the morning and one 20mg at night. Now I am only taking one 20mg pill a day. Do I quit cold turkey?
1472764 tn?1287588186 Has anyone else experienced arm and leg weakness? I'll be 21 weeks on Saturday and the last couple of weeks I've noticed my arms and legs feel really weak and tired. Its almost like a hungover feeling.
1943416 tn?1324166761 belching, bloating, heartburn, sensitivity at the waist, intestinal gas, hiccups, difficulty in swallowing capsules, overall fatigue, full feeling at base of throat, pain or burning in upper chest, pressure in the chest, pain in the left side of chest. So I read on-line about hiatal hernia and I tried the self-massage technique described here and felt immediately better. I had to do it more than once over a period of time and I had a masseuse do it to me 3 times in 3 months.
Avatar f tn Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.
212161 tn?1599427282 hey thank you for your time. i take prilosec everyday cant go with out it i have reflux really bad is the a bad thing for my stomack will it cause problems down the road been on it for at least 2-3 years do come off of it now and than take zanta for a week but it not as good.
Avatar f tn I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.

Avatar n tn Acid reflux and on Prilosec (maximum amount) per day for many years. Upon falling asleep, I can feel something loosening in the back of my throat. I wake up choking. It is so weird, my legs are actually "running" as I wake up laying in bed. I hate this choking feeling. I even bought an adjustable bed figuring it would help solve the problem but I still choke. I am becoming afraid to fall asleep. What should I do?
Avatar m tn I took gasX, and prilosec. I had this once before and saw a doctor in fear of an aortic aneurysm , but she put me on dexelant and I was fine and was just worrying. Thanks!
5587520 tn?1370418932 They think Tachy, PACs could be hormonal and chest pain due to acid reflux. Ill see how the Prilosec works, if the chest pain doesnt go away, Ill push doctors for more follow up on chest pain. Doctor said to hold off on Beta blockers for now, but a potential option if tachy dosen't subside. This is a curse of a condition... I wish someone would just shoot me in the leg rather than deal with these scarey chest issues.
Avatar m tn Doctor reccomended Prilosec OTC. She was still leaning toward gallbladder. Day after started taking Prilosec, pain was the worst it had been at that point. Note, to mitigate the pain, i was taking Ibruprofen. Realizing that if it was an ulcer, I stopped taking the Ibruprofen. Prilosec seemed to help after that. Felt as if improving. Had HIDA done. Normal results. Day I got the results (before I got them, just to rule out my brain turning against me), started feeling worse.
