Having upper GI endoscope tomorrow, have been taking Prilosec daily. Will it have an effect on results?
About 2 months ago I started taking Prilosec for reflux. I then began to have a huge increase in the number of PVC's. Sometimes lasting all day. I've been on an event monitor for the past 2 weeks. I didn't even think that to relate this increase in PVC's to the Prilosec until about a week ago. I stopped the Prilosec and lo and behold the PVC's are gone or at least back to the minimal occurance that they were before.
Other than that it can also be due to postural hypotension as you also have dizziness. Get your blood pressure checked. Both high and low BP can also cause headache with dizziness. If you use computer a lot or read a lot then the symptoms of headache, dizziness, etc could be due to compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region.

I've been taking prilosec off and on for 7 months (the length of my mysterious illness) BUT I've only been taking it 2x a day faithfully for about a little over a week. I've been trying to eat better Examle. No spicy foods, not eating anyting real solid 3 to 4 hours before sleeping except maybe a popcile. Trying to lose weight and exercise and trying to lay off the caffeine and carbonated bevereges(which is extremly hard for me but Im doing it.
) 2 wks ago with diarreah and sulphur belches, now have lower left quadrant pain with sour, bitter taste in mouth, slight nausea, dizziness, upset stomach, belching after food or drink, and small white stools.
My 15 year old son is having chest pain with nausea and dizziness. He is an asthmatic. At times his heart slows way down . He is not overweight. He is at 120 lbs. Dr took x-rays and blood work. Said his cholesterol is high and he needs to go to dietitian. He has bad heartburn so the dr increased his prilosec. He is supposed to go to a specialist, but the appointment isn't until the 26th of Jan. I am worried. Any ideas?
I was wondering if dizziness is a common symptom with GERD? I had been having problems, and went to the doctor and he put me on prilosec for 30 days. I took it and really didn't feel completely better, but since I had stopped taking it I have been really really dizzy. I have also had heart burn a couple of nights for the first time in a long time, and my stomach went back to the way it was before the medicine.
Now that I am on the Prilosec, I am having shortness of breath, chest tightness, dizziness, and malaise. Is this serious? If I have H. Pylori, I want to fix that problem, but am worried that the respiratory involvement and chest pain/tightness might turn into something serious. Zantac has fewer symptoms, and the chest pain is less severe. Will it be effective if I take that with the abx, instead of the PPI?
Is it okay to take Prilosec? They said Zantac was okay, but not to take Prevacid. I bought Prilosec and want your opinions on it.
I have been having some GI issues for almost 2 months now and was first diagnosed with Gastritis. For the Gastritis I was given 15 days worth of Prilosec. While on the Prilosec (and before) I had diarrhea and loose stools every day. Being as I was having that before, I never attributed it to the Prilosec but now I'm questioning whether or not the Prilosec contributed to the loose bowel movements as I am now back on Prilosec and am having loose stools once again.

t see it. I am also taking prilosec and gaviscon for stomach problems and I seem to have my heart palpitations under control with my stomach getting better. ( i believe they were gerd related) Perhaps the prilosec is causing my heartrate to go up. perhaps it is causing me to work through my synthroid faster? What do you all think?
For the past two weeks I have been taking Risperdal and Depakote and have had terrible symptoms of acid reflux. Nausea, vomitting, belching, dizziness, etc. I have never had these sort of symptoms before. Could taking these medications together cause these symptoms? I have taken Risperdal in conjunction with other medications previously and have had no problems.
He usually just trys to tuff it out and says he will be okay. The chest pain does not go away for about a hour, but the headache and dizziness is just a few minutes. The coughing is like he has something stuck in his throat or something not just a little one. I was wondering if you have ever heard of anything like this?
I also have had issues with acid reflux for the last few months but have had that checked out with a EKG and that showed nothing wrong with my heart. The dizziness has started to come back so im wondering if they were wrong when they check my eyes and I may really need glasses. also is it normal to have a heartrate of 100 most of the time the doctor said it was fine some people just have fast metabolisms ect.
Besides the cost, is their truly a difference between Nexim and Prilosec. The active components in Nexium are esomprazole magnesium and in Prilosec are Omeprazole Magnesium. Also, Nexium comes in 20 mg and 40 mg capsules and Prilosec is sold over the counter in 20 mg tablets.
My GI switched me to Nexium because Aciphex gave me terrible side effects and Protonix made my water brash symptoms ever worse.
I have tried Prilosec in the past and it didn't have much of an effect for me.
Is there an appropriate way of getting off of Prilosec? I have been taking it for almost two months and starting to think that all the symptoms I am experiencing are from the Prilosec. After all GI test have come back normal and all the test from my regular physician have come back normal, I want to quit Prilosec. The first month I was taking one 20mg pill in the morning and one 20mg at night. Now I am only taking one 20mg pill a day. Do I quit cold turkey?

I also have pretty frequent heart burn. I am now taking Prilosec for that. Occasionally I will get a small dizziness but it goes away pretty quickly. I also had some minor lower back pain last night but some Icy-Hot and sleeping on a heating pad cured that fr the most part. Last night a sharp pain shot through my stomach and into my groin. Early part of last year I was having stomach problems and was switched from 20 mg daily of Prilosec to 40 mg and then to 60 mg of Dexilant and than to 60 mg of Nexium and then back to 20 mg of Prilosec. Then in September of last year I had an attack - broke out in a sweat, difficulty breathing, had high tropinin levels which could have meant a heart attack. Testing showed no on the heart attack. A few weeks later I had a similar attack, difficulty breathing with a thick gunk in my throat.
