1797743 tn?1389213685 I was diagnosed in mid summer with vitamin D Deficiency and had my T3 Free tested and it was within normal range. As I completed my prescription Vitamin D, I started to notice that I was having pain in my left upper quadrant of my abdomen. Also, I tend to be bloated and gassy. I was just started on Synthyroid on Friday (4 days ago) and was advised by my Nurse Practioner to give Zantac a try, that it might be gastritis. I swear this is horrible.
Avatar f tn I was on Prilosec for 9 months (I have been off for 7 days) and I am not planning on taking Prilosec again. I do not have heart burn and it was prescribed by my idiot doc and I followed her advice without question. Getting a new doc. The tablet that I take has 1000 Mcg of B12 (cyanocobalamin) and 400 mcg of Folic Acid. I could not get the Methly kind of B12. I have been taking the tablet for 7 days. I feel great!
19024797 tn?1471291132 m taking 6,000 IU of Vitamin D daily and have read many articles on how Magnesium and Vitamin K all work together in the process of absorbing Vitamin D and visa vera...but when my doctor but me on Vitamin D he didn't mention supplementing with Magnesium or Vitamin K. Avatar f tn Vitamin D deficiency is commonly due to not enough sunlight. However, the causes of vitamin D deficiency are numerous and you may have more than one condition contributing to this deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency is estimated to affect at least a billion people worldwide. When vitamin D levels are not rising well or at all (vitamin D resistance) low magnesium levels are the first suspect. High doses of vitamin D can worsen an existing magnesium deficiency.

12504580 tn?1485510437 Hi there, Vitamin D can be low in someone with MS, one reason is because of getting less sun exposure with Uhthoff's worsening their neurological symptoms. Whilst it's not uncommon for someone with MS to take Vit D, Vit D deficiency is also common in the general population, with stats around 1 in 3 with a D deficiency.

1166456 tn?1417305537 I also have pain on my forhead where my headline is my bones are soft to the touch ( not that I should even be pressing on them lol )....I have vitamin D and vitamin b12 deficiency. My question is even if it is rare is there a disease or disorder that would cause the bones or skull to change or sounds ridiculous but divide without injury? I have no clue why I am in so much pain. I have seen a rhuemetologist which did not find anything either. Wouldnt MRIS show these types of things...

Avatar n tn I have been suffering with all of your symptoms for years and finally a few months ago after being tested for anything and everything was diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency. I have come to realize that this is so common but for some reason is left undiagnosed in most people so consider yourself lucky.

Avatar f tn Excerpt from Know the Importance of Taking Enough Magnesium with Your Vitamin D... "Vitamin D, just like all other nutrients, works in harmony with several other nutrients to perform its many functions. Most importantly, vitamin D requires and 'uses up' magnesium to convert from supplements or sun into its active form in the blood. As such, it is a big mistake to simply take large doses of Vitamin D without taking the need for magnesium into consideration.
488264 tn?1226520307 If you are still concerned about Vitamin D, a multivitamin with Vitamin D 400 IU is sufficient. You should not go over that amount in supplementation. Vitamin D is available through our foods also. Fortified milk, breakfast cereals, egg yolks, fatty fish, fish oils, and the sun. Sit at a window with the sun shining in for about 1/2 hour (few times a week) and that will help you get enough Vitamin D.

Avatar f tn Deep inside I knew it could be due to vitamin d deficiency and so it is. Because I had a family friend who told me there was a lady who was vitamin d deficiency and she had the same symptoms I was having. It took her two years in getting diagnosed and treatment. Now after 4 months of supplementing I am feeling a lot better and I can definitely see light in the end. My level is in optimal range 50-80. Turned out I don't have MS or any other disease.
