Avatar f tn Lol! I just started tinkering with Win7 so can't really compare that! I am choosing XP because I am most familar with it. I have Vista on 2 machines, and am slowly getting better with getting around it, but I think from what I have seen that win7 will be better....still have to see what "bugs" come out!!!!
Avatar f tn I have FM for over 12 years now, I've read numerous books, I belong to the National Fibromyalgia Network, The Fibromyalgia Association, and follow the latest research on many aspects of FM. These include, medical and pharmaceutical research. There is NO evidence that people with FM have brains that age faster. There is a neurological aspect to FM that can affect our brains. Our neurotransmitters may not be firing right to put it simply.
Avatar f tn My question is do you think the Okinawa diet is a good choice? Minor acceptable memory issues have already set in for my 55 year old brother, so do you think strictly following your diet can hold off progression of the disease for him or does it never stop once it takes hold?
1260255 tn?1288654564 I've read people mentioning memory problems, but have not seen one type of memory problem discussed. Do any of you have problems where your memory does not store information? There are numerous occasions when I have absolutely no recall of conversations. This happened several weeks ago when my son called me at work. He told me that the grill was corroded at the bottom. I have no recall of this whatsoever, but his girlfriend was sitting next to him and vouches for him.
414131 tn?1202530891 I am experiencing various problems mostly with memory. I am 49 and was diagnosed a year ago with diabetes. My A1C was 6.5. I was very tired. I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. All I had to do is sit down and start to relax. My brain was not working so well either. My memory was becoming almost a thing of the past. I was having what I call random access bad sectors. It would strike randomly and I never knew if I would recover what I just forgot.
Avatar f tn Not that I would wish any one on this post, especially you Dave, to have memory problems, but at least I feel more assured that it is normal. Thanks for responding.
Avatar m tn It sounds like you may be having some work problems. That can cause stress and the memory problems too.
Avatar f tn I have the exact problem. I have ADHD. I dont remember a lot before the age of 13, from then I had to mostly relearn everything I had learned in my younger years. Now I find it hard to remember anything I read, listen to, or try and study. I feel lost and confused since I am only 19 with this type of problem.
Avatar n tn One is if you have hypothyroid or Hashimoto's disease, which both mean your thyroid gland is not producing enough hormone, and thus you can get that collection of problems. So, visiting an endocrinologist and getting your thyroid tested is how to find out if it's your thyroid doing all this to you. Two is if you are taking some sort of medication that is giving you these as side effects, so you would review any drug you're on and see if you need to have it changed.
676143 tn?1312941771 So does anyone else have problems with memory lately? I feel like the baby is sucking my brain away. I keep forgetting so many little things. Luckily, it hasn't gotten me in to too much trouble yet - but one of these days I am going to forget something really important!
Avatar m tn And I feel like I have forgotten everything I spent the past 3-4 years paying to learn ! I was an honours student in undergrad and never had memory problems before. I am also having huge problems concentrating on what people are saying to me. It's like I am not listening no matter how hard I try to listen my brain wanders off into zombie land. And I am only 29. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to regain one's memory and concentration ?
Avatar n tn I'm a first time mommy too! I just learned it's normal because during an ultrasound my baby boy was moving in all kinds of crazy positions and changing it up the whole time!
Avatar f tn I had my second cataract surgery at the end of Jan. 2011 and was given Soothe XP to use (I have very dry eyes). Looking at the bottle now--couldn't see to read it then--I see that it expires 3/10. I like this drop a LOT. Searching the web, I see that Soothe XP was recalled for all bottles dated 2/11 through 8/12. My questions: 1) Can I still use my bottle labelled 3/10? 2) if not, can you suggest an alternative for very dry eyes with lens replacements?
Avatar m tn I had dry eye problems and most eye doctors automatically show me artificial drops. Some even say I can use as many time as I need. Once a while, I put one drop every hour but it didn't help that much as I feel dry again almost 15 minutes after putting the drop. Even worse is I feel once the artificial drop drys, the vision is more blur. I read one article saying that dry eye can be caused by low tear production or the quality of the tear is not good and not sticking to the cornea.
Avatar n tn What kind of contraception did you take? There are two main kinds- the birth control pill and the emergency contraception pills. A regular birth control pill is usually a small amount of hormone such as estrogen or progesterone that will help regulate and prevent pregnancy. However, this form needs to be taken every day around the same time and at least 3 weeks before it's at least 96% effective at preventing pregnancy.

645800 tn?1466860955 One of the first cognitive problems I developed was short term memory problems (almost 18 years ago). At times it is quite severe (IMO) as I will get up to go to the bathroom, and no sooner get up and not know why I got up. I mean how can you forget that you have to go to the bathroom? LOL As a result of this and my decision making problems I have had a terrible time with doing shopping. I could go to the store with only 3 items to get and return home with only 1 or 2 of the items.
Avatar f tn When he prescribed the Topamax to me, my Neurologist suggested taking L-Tyrosine (an OTC amino acid) in a dosage of 500-1000mgs per day to counteract the lethargy and memory problems associated with Topamax. I took the Topamax for 3-4 days without the L-Tyrosine and was EXHAUSTED, so decided to try it. I have felt great since! I started with 500mgs and felt OK, then tried the 1000mgs and felt GREAT! So...I'd recommend it to anyone!
Avatar f tn I've been experiencing some really irritating short-term memory loss problems (for myself as well as other people). I am 35, female and trying to figure out why and how I can improve this. Ther are a few things I have considered...I was in an auto accident last year. I was t-boned and the driver side airbag went off and pretty much saved my life.
Avatar f tn Both my free t3 and free t4 are low normal. Exhaustion, poor memory, hair falling out, dizziness, headaches daily, migraines often, heavy painful periods, low low energy, inability to loose weight (after 40 lb weight gain in 1.5 years). I want to have kids and feel this is preventing that bc I can barely function as is. Everything else is normal except pth of 87 and 1,25 dihydroxyvitamin d of 89. Calcium 9.3 iodized calcium 1.24 vitamin d 40.
398302 tn?1202271127 I know the exact feeling. You feel as if it is some kind of a "sign." Just when you are feeling weak, you get that phone call. Your savior ya know? At that very moment it seems so right to just pick up the phone and a few minutes later all of your problems will vanish. It's amazing how the human mind can play tricks on you.
Avatar n tn Does your husband have any health problems or on any medications that's preventing him from performing?
1146276 tn?1261470187 Well, on the neurological side of things, I personally think you should visit a neurologist, because he can do some office tests to determine how your recall and short-term memory is doing from a series of questions, and then he can also order a scan of your head to see if the problem originates in in your brain. Now, from a psychological perspective, let me see if I've got this straight. You tell us two different kinds of memory troubles.
