Hi I'm a 25 year old female who has had nausea for 2 1/2 years and had my stomach tested, had a laproscopy, as well as been checked for gallstones, acid reflux and had an endoscopy. All in which came up clean. I have nausea at all times of the day food type does not affect how sick I get. The sickness shows up approximately 10 minutes after I eat and will last anywhere from a half hour to two or three hours after eating.

im 28 weeks and ive tried eating a bit before bed and medication from my doctor but still i wake up every morning with bad nausea . i even throw up and its bad cause first thing in the morning i dont have anything really to throw up. do you think it's just morning sickness or could it be something else??

I have had chronic nausea for quite a few years now. I had it really bad for a little over a year, although I have had a very sensitive stomach and nausea since I was a kid. I'm 19 now, and still have horrible motion sickness. Then I got pregnant. that was really bad. I developed hyperemesis, and lost 30lbs throughout the pregnancy. Now, almost 3 months after giving birth, the constant nausea is coming back.

I used ibuprofen pretty often each day for about two weeks for severe pain in my hand and finger joints. I began to have chronic nausea, got off the ibuprofen, started taking Prevacid and Pepcid Complete, then Reglan per doctor's prescription. Bad side effects from Reglan--irritability, dizziness, depression,sleepiness. Got off of it. After about 4 weeks, I still have some nausea and only want to eat starches and sugars. Had gallbladder removed 6 months ago.

Then about a month ago, I started getting heartburn, along with nausea and vomiting. Soon, I also had bitter taste in my mouth. I got prescription for prevacid again from my doc, and I also tried OTC meds(tums, etc), but none of them worked. In fact, the symptoms are getting worse. (I am being very careful with my diet currently. No fatty, spicy food.. small meals..

I've raised my head at night. I haven't tried prevacid or prilosec. My doc prescribed me zantac in august so I've continued using it. I may try one of those to see if I get any relief because the zantac really isn't working.

had no real concerns only that due to my son suffering from GERDs, she saw in the xray that the bile is backing up into the stomach. This was the same thing she told me 3 years ago and prescribed Prevacid and now prescribed Nexium. There were bad news, however, when the Dr. got the results from the sonogram. She found a lesion on my son's pancreas and the liver is enlarged. Lab results also show the liver enzymes slightly higher. A CT Scan is pending (in 2 weeks!).

http://www.drugs.com/mtm/prevacid.html Have you had a breath test for H. pylori done? 46 is early for colorectal cancer, nausea is not a typical symptom. If pain was from cancer, you'd probably bleed from the intestine. Maybe it's good if you have a hemmocult test for hidden blood in the stool.

Hi--I recently had an Upper GI for nausea and the test came back normal except for a "small amount" of reflux. I was surprised to hear this since I have never had heart burn in my life, even when I was pregnant. My GP does not want to put me on any medication since she said there are no symptoms to treat. She said to take 2 tums at night since it could do damage to my esophagus when I lay down but other than that I didn't need to take anything.

If that was all normal, and you had no heart murmurs, I would probably prescribe Prevacid or one of the other H2 blockers for you to alleviate both symptoms. Certainly some nausea is to be expected at your stage. Rellux from the stomach up into the esophagus can cause chest pain and nausea both, though so some of the symptoms might be improved. I take a proton pump inhibitor (Prevacid) each morning for reflux and my primary care doc says it quiets the vagus nerve (near the heart) down, helps with irritation that might cause irregular beats. I try to take it an hour after my dose of Atenolol -- I want to make sure I'm absorbing my Atenolol. I think Jeric is on to something -- I'd ask the doctor.

Hi, I took the double dose of prevacid and I was fine last night, but woke up this am with bad watery diarrhea and some nausea. I know Prevacid can cause diarrhea, but this is a bad case of it. Think it could be related? Im definitly calling my dr today to set up an appt to discuss,,,,thinking I should stop the double dose until I talk with him. I was on prevacid for years, my body should be used to it!

I know anxiety can cause nausea. Are you an overly anxious person? I know ativan can help with nausea but it would be best for you to keep seeing doctors to figure out the cause of it so you can attack the problem. Best of luck to you.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF PREVACID USE WITH HEP C? SINCE ITS EXPENSIVE IS THERE A GENERIC FORM?

I have consulted may doctors and currently take lansoprazole (Prevacid). The vomiting and nausea continues no matter what I eat, how much, or how little. I honestly have no idea what to do anymore. I'm considering an endoscopy but do not really want to go through that if it is not necessary - which I do not believe it is. Any idea what this may be? Blood results show that everything is normal.

Hey ladies... I'm just curious if any of you have experienced this? I am 17 weeks along, and I still throw up about 2 -3 times a week, always in the morning. It's not due to nausea like it was early on, but from my gag reflex. I have a lot of drainage and when I get up I start coughing it up and it makes me puke. *sigh* Anyway, for the last month or so, there has been blood in my vomit more often than not.

I was diagnosed with GERD because I have heartburn and I often regurgitate. However, for the past month I have felt like something is stuck in my throat and I am getting nausea every single night. Last week I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer and am taking Amoxicillin, Biaxin and Prevacid. I am one week into treatment and feel only marginally better. My question is about stomach tenderness. Is a tender stomach normal with a peptic ulcer? My entire stomach area, from just below my breasts, down to my navel, is very tender to the touch. When touched it produces like a burning/stinging/bruised feeling. Depending on the day, or time of the day, the pain is greater or less.

My only symptom is nausea. Mainly it is very slight, but on occasion it will flare up pretty bad. I have not vomited...only nausea. I had my gallbladder checked for stones via ultrasound. There were no stones. I also don't experience any pain. I was placed on Prevacid for treatment. While it has helped immensely, I still don't feel at 100%. My recent UltSnd shows wall thickening but no stones. I take presc Prevacid 30 2xD and it eliminates any GERD I have had. I have constant gas/burping. I have no pain except that occasionally I do have a dull ache at GB location and radiates up my right neck. I always had kind of what I thought was a GERD pain up my right chest thru neck. My stomach seems upset a lot. Last night aft eating fried softshell crab sandwich, 6 raw oysters and fried tomato, 3 beers.

Stomach acid is also a major issue with this. I have been on prevacid and after about 6weeks felt better. Now not so much. I have also had an endoscopy, hida scan and so on with no luck... Any suggestions???

lately about the last month it has been every other day i have been on prevacid and nausea meds but nothing works all food seems to set it off. i dont know what is going on and it bothers me alot.

It started about 6-8 months ago. My friend and I ate at a restraunt where we both ordered the same thing. That night she got sick- throwing up etc. She was better within 24 hours. I ended up getting sick too, but I didn't throw up. I only had diareaha and nausea that lasted over a week. My stomach and digestive system haven't been the same since. I don't know if it's related to this incident or not.
