I am like you all, my stomach just churns and growls!! I take prevacid already for a small hiatal hernia, but what would i take other than that? Like immodium or pepto?? I didnt realize how much anxiety can do to a person!!!!!!!! Thanks!!

March 3 and my spasms are awful, feels like my stomach is a washing machine churning and my stomach is very upset, NEED TO FIND ANSWERS. A new recent issue is stiffness in my neck and my breastplate, not sure if this is all related. March 4----intense spasms continue. Chest is tight and somewhat nauseated. Also, have slight pain in groin and lower abdomen (under my belly). March 5----stomach is very “sour” had difficulty eating breakfast.

My neighbor is a doctor and prescribed me prevacid, I took them for 2 weeks, and began to notice these problems. I told him this and his response was "Prevacid does not have those side efffects." but when I search "Prevacid side effects" these symptoms show up on every page. ANy direction woudl be appreciated.

She did blood work to test for bacteria. It was negative. She told me to take prevacid once a day no matter how I felt and to avoid OJ and tomatoes. So I did and it helped. I switched from prevacid to DGL and that helped as well. Then I started to feel a dull pain under my ribcage on the right side. It would come and go. Never sever, just annoying. Still have it on and off. Also have pain in my right flank area. I had an ultrasound done of my liver and it was fine.

I was first diagnosed with hyperthyroidism back in May 2004. I had a couple small nodules on one lobe of my thyroid. I was started on PTU (can't spell the full name LOL!) and responded very well to it. After a few months, the nodules had disappeared and my thyroid levels stabilized. In July of 2008 I was started on Amiodarone for my atrial fibrillation. Amiodarone has an iodine content to it and seems to have caused my thyroid levels to go up again.

I have taken prevacid off and on for years without any problem. When the stomach pain started, I thought it was caused by my adrenal insufficiency, since it is one of the symptoms. I have only been on the high dose for about 5 months--and I think the stomach pain started before that---but there is definitely a connection to it now. I had to raise my HC, was having symptoms that suggested my basline dose was too low.

Are you taking any add'l calcium during the day? Sometimes that can cause stomach issues. I find that I need to wait at least 45-60 minutes after I take my Synthroid in the AM before I can eat. If I eat sooner rather than later I get stomach pain. It's mild but it's there. I also had some reactions to the fillers/dyes in Synthroid. I take 75mg a day; now I take 1 50 mg and cut the other in 1/2. The 50 mg Synthroid is dye free and has less fillers.

I started eating healthy and it took about 1 year for me to get this under control. The nexium and prevacid did nothing for me, about 2 weeks ago my symptoms came back and I understand what your going thru. I am on a bland diet just to start.

For the past week I've been dealing with horrible stomach burning and nausea. It feels like my stomach is on fire and it makes me incredibly nauseous. I've been taking zantac and tums but neither offer me much relief. I feel the worst after eating. But it doesn't matter what I eat...I try eating bland foods like noodle soup, saltines, bananas etc but I still feel awful. I sometimes feel hungry but still nauseated at the same time so I have no desire to eat.

Colon was fine, was diagnosed with Gastritis. Was given PrevPac, while taking that I had upset stomach in morning. But after vomiting one morning that went away. Started to feel good again. Then PrevPac ran out... Started to feel ill again. Now on Prevacid. I was 220 lb when this all started in Sept. It lingered at around 195 for awhile when I was feeling better. Now I am down to 188. Is this normal?

My boyfriend has been dealing with weird stomach issues for the past few months. He doesn't have insurance and refuses to pay for a dr out of pocket. But it starts in the morning...he'll wake up and his stomach will burn and he'll end up vomiting from it. He'll then have 3-4 bowel movements that day that are loose. This doesn't happen all the time...last time he vomited was a couple months ago but it happened again today. He ends up feeling fine by midday.

00 in the morning to have any food at all, I try to have non fiber foods for the first four hours. Tomorrow I will go without the Prevacid completely and see what happens.

In July i was having some swallowing problems or thought i was and they did an EGD and found nothing but a VERY tiny hiatal hernia. My stomach lining was nice and pink. I had been taking prevacid for two weeks prior to the EGD due to the trouble swallowing NOW i want to stop taking the prevacid and every time i try i get really sick. I get weak, nauseaus and for a day or two i literally go to the bathroom constantly and have loose yellow stools with stomach cramps.

Pain always in the same two spots. Worried about stomach cancer because it has gone untreated until now, for like 5 years.

After taking Prevacid, I gain my appetite back. The problem is, I have develope new symptoms after taking prevacid for 1 week. I am having very loose bowel movements, blood on the toliet paper when I wipe, indigestion, lower abdominal pain. Most importantly is I am having more frequent heartburn and chest pain, which I don't have when I am on the H2 blocker.

I started taking it 8oz a day for the first 3 months, then cut to 4oz daily until it was cured, sometimes I took a few more ounces if I ate something that upset me, but in a matter of alittle over a year and half it was cured, I still take 1oz of aloe vera 100% juice a day for preventive maint. or if I have an upset stomach it helps. I feel it cured me slowly but naturally and from the inside. I hope it helps.

HELP Please... . Our 7 month old wakes up every 90 minutes due to his silent reflux. The Axid and Prevacid both made his stomach upset worse. So now he's only on Nutramagin formula, rice cereal and fruit. The pediatrician says to make his formula extra thick. His little voice is hoarse all the time. He doesn't have colic. Our lil one is sooo happy until he goes down for a nap or night time sleep. Is there anything else out there? His upper GI was normal.

In fact when I burp, I can feel the hot yucky gas coming up from my stomach. A recent google showed that prevacid can cause a side effect of halitosis. Other comments insist it is the GERD but I am not entirely convinced. In my opinion, neither one is new to me, but the halitosis is. I just went to the doctor to get blood tests and make sure that my drinking has not already damaged my body beyond repair. My doctor gave me Prevacid for some stomach issues I have been Having. Does anyone know if it is safe to take it when I have been drinking? I am really trying to stop but I am having problems with the withdrawls so I am trying to wean myself off. Any one have any opinions? I would hate to do more damage when I ma trying to correct already done damage.

I have had ulcers, bacteria infection in my stomach, and several other gastro problems for a little over a year. I go to a gastro dr. Before I started hydro I had to take 2 prevacid 30m a day. (drs orders) I am very careful what I eat. After I started hydro my acid reflux was so much better...weird huh? Now off hydro 5 days, taking prevacid again. I will deal with acid reflux and take my prevacid..Stress does make it flare up really bad...so just maybe I can get it back under control soon...
