Anyway, many kids are genetically a bit bigger and that is what is normal for them. If the doctor tells you to do something about it, then you try to help this situation. You'll occasionally hear of kids not allowed juice, etc. in those cases but those are kids older than yours. Well good luck. Enjoy your baby!

and I was [[[ shocked ]]] at that .. it retails for over $300 /month!!! So why did they take Prevacid Packets off the shelf I ask .. grrrrrrrrrrr .. my co pay was $35/mo! It is helpful to have a quick melt or packet to mix for kids who aren't able to swallow a pill .. and the taste for an older child is awful if compounded (tastes like salt even with flavor bcz of the saccharine like products in it). Just was curious.

t work, or stops working like in my case, Prevacid is also safe during pregnancy and works like a charm. I had it real bad this last time and Prevacid was all that would help me.

Hi. I take Prevacid, which is a little pricey, even with insurance. However, there is another one, Aciphex, which was about 30 dollars cheaper. I am back on the Prevacid as the Aciphex didn't work as well ( for me...I was on Prevacid for years and only switched because of the cost...65 dollars). You may want to ask about that. Also, I was told my pharmacist that otc prilosic works well too.

I've raised my head at night. I haven't tried prevacid or prilosec. My doc prescribed me zantac in august so I've continued using it. I may try one of those to see if I get any relief because the zantac really isn't working.

The regular ped won't switch him to solutabs??? The compounded prevacid becomes unstable in as little as two weeks. I wouldn't think you'd need a GI to switch forms of the same medicine? We started on zantac too, FAILED, then a compounded prevacid, FAILED and then finally a good dose of a PPI medicine (like solutabs) and I finally had the happy baby I always wanted!

My daughter also takes pentasa and WAS taking prevacid. The prevacid didn't seem to help her and our GI switched her to prilosec. My daughter has had no complaints with the prilosec. Both prevacid and prilosec have the same actions so they do the same things. The only interaction that I know of with prevacid and penicillin is with a type of penicillin called Ampicillin and it may inhibit the absorption of the prevacid.

My boyfriend has been dealing with weird stomach issues for the past few months. He doesn't have insurance and refuses to pay for a dr out of pocket. But it starts in the morning...he'll wake up and his stomach will burn and he'll end up vomiting from it. He'll then have 3-4 bowel movements that day that are loose. This doesn't happen all the time...last time he vomited was a couple months ago but it happened again today. He ends up feeling fine by midday.

I've been taking prevacid 30 mg TWICE a day for 10 years. Once a day before that. Doc says should be no problem. Now off hydro 5 days, taking prevacid again. I will deal with acid reflux and take my prevacid..Stress does make it flare up really bad...so just maybe I can get it back under control soon...

I just went to the doctor to get blood tests and make sure that my drinking has not already damaged my body beyond repair. My doctor gave me Prevacid for some stomach issues I have been Having. After taking Prevacid, I gain my appetite back. The problem is, I have develope new symptoms after taking prevacid for 1 week. In July i was having some swallowing problems or thought i was and they did an EGD and found nothing but a VERY tiny hiatal hernia. My stomach lining was nice and pink. I had been taking prevacid for two weeks prior to the EGD due to the trouble swallowing NOW i want to stop taking the prevacid and every time i try i get really sick. Started Prevacid and also Strattera for ADD. We were able to wean off of the Prevacid and just stick to Strattera, as our peds thinks the Strattera helps him with the anxiety related to the GERD, and therefore he had no complaints of symptoms of GERD. Hi I have had GERD for a few years now. I've never had halitosis. Recently my reflux started acting up, so i doubled my prevacid. I'm not sure what is causing my very horrid halitosis. I have figured out it is not dental related. In fact when I burp, I can feel the hot yucky gas coming up from my stomach. A recent google showed that prevacid can cause a side effect of halitosis. Other comments insist it is the GERD but I am not entirely convinced.

I'm just about to start treating my gastritis, but want to make sure I'm taking the right thing to fight it. Do mastic gum, DGL licorice, slippery elm, and OTC products like Prilosec or Prevacid, etc. cause loose stools? I'm prone to loose stools and don't want the problem to get worse. I think Prevacid and/or Kapidex blow away Nexium; although what may be right for me will not be guaranteed for you. My doc gave me a 3 week free-sample of Kapidex, and you take it once a day. I'm always open to trying something new.

I have taken prevacid off and on for years without any problem. When the stomach pain started, I thought it was caused by my adrenal insufficiency, since it is one of the symptoms. I have only been on the high dose for about 5 months--and I think the stomach pain started before that---but there is definitely a connection to it now. I had to raise my HC, was having symptoms that suggested my basline dose was too low.

I'm pretty scared.... I don't know what to think. 44 about to be 45 year old white male I had heart disease at an early age but other than that, no health problems. About a year now I have had very bad acid reflux and at times due to the damage it was causing, I had lots of trouble swallowing. Before I started taking prevacid ...I wasn't able to swallow ANY kind of food that had any kind of heat to it..and by heat I mean spicy, I don't mean temperature wise.
