thanks for getting back to me. I have been taking nexxium for almost nine months straight and prevacid now for about 3 weeks. it has helped some with the acid reflux part but not the bloating. i have cut back to 1 pill a day instead of two which I took for nine months straight.

unfortunatly they do blood tests for those and she has been tested for those before as well as the h-pylori at the same time all were neg.. all to find out that the h-pylori was a pos. Yea her tummy hurts at school... home... car... anywhere. It doesnt matter if shes haveing a blast or resting, just ate or hungry.. The burning is new and I did ask and they dont think it is the prevacid.

We have tried everything with H. pylori. Nothing has worked. This has been for several years now. The EE is being exasperated by the Hp and my lining is almost gone from the acid. Mary, the prevacid will not kill off the bacteria. Your doc is not correctly handling the bacterial problem - if that problem is indeed H. pylori. He's going against the currently recommended treatment for the problem and he may be unfortunately prolonging your discomfort. Stomach issues such as reflux, GERD, etc., are hard enough to handle, so he's not doing you any favors.

I've had H Pylori for almost 6 months now. I was put on a triple threat antibiotic for 2 weeks and when that didn't cure the H Pylori, I was put on a 10 pills a day regiment for another 2 weeks. However, I'm still having my regular symptoms and through the last week bloody stools have increased. Is it possible H Pylori is still in my system and I need to take more antibiotics or could this be more?

My doctors office said my results were negative. (I guess for H Pylori). That is fine, but then why do I have gastritis? I am just frustrated that there is no answer! Does anyone have bouts of gastritis with no known reason? Thanks!

They have done blood tests (previously) for H-Pylori. Neg blood test, H-pylori (EGD)Positive biopsy. Celiac Neg,gluten allergy Neg, she also has test negitive via blood sample to all food allergies except a small one to egg whites.. She also has bouts of Vomitting that come in about 3 month periods where her food doesnt digest and its like her stomach fills to its fullest and empties via vomitting. She has poor weight gain and is simply miserable most of the time.

I have also been diagnosed with H. Pylori, I was wondering if I could take Prevacid with these other medications? I have tried everything else and this would be a last resort.

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with reflux, blew a positive H Pylori and am on 7 days of the HP Pac. Is the Prevacid necessary to kill the bacteria? I know it may help overall with acid into my esophagus but I want to know if it is specifically necessary to make the antibiotics more effective. thank you!

My 9 month old son has had severe Reluxdiesease, but a Natralpathic doctor thinks it is H-pylori. He has been on Prevacid for 7 months and I think the natropathis doctor is right? Any experience with this out there? Help!!!

I had a blood test for h. pylori that came back negative, but my doctor said that the blood test is not a good indication and they will see during the endoscopy if it is h. pylori. It sounds like Helicobacter Pylori, or H-Pylori. Ask your doctor! Today, the standard triple therapy is amoxicillin, clarithromycin and a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole. I had h pylori twice, and the antibiotics really destroyed me. I am now taking Prevacid in very high doses. Before you try to eliminate this h pylori again read about if you really need to. Also, I think that urea test was done way too soon after the first time! Good luck to you! And hang in there, I've been dealing with this bad stomach thing for years! Watch what you eat and drink, and get a second opinion!

I have a 5yr old Daughter who has 's had various blood tests done to test for H-Pylori, Celiac, Gluten Allergy all came back NEG. Then she began vomitting and her food wasnt digesting properly so they did an EGD and they did a biopsy for H-Pylori and it was positive. That diagnosis hasnt been the answer to our prayers after 2 rounds of antibiotics and the new symptom of burning in her stomach she is going for another EGD on the 23rd. Maybe she should be tested for H-pylori?

I have lived with constant, burning stomach pain and pain when I breathe for the last 6 years. I had gotten H Pylori from an old boyfriend and I was finally diagnosed last year. I went through several rounds of antibiotics and they said I no longer have it. I still have the searing, burning horrible pain and hunger that will not go away. I have h pylori too and an ulcer going in for an endoscope next week . the 2 week regimen is awful and I couldn't do it cause I have a 9 month old consists of 2 antibiotics either amoxicillin and erythromycin or tetracycline and flagyl .. and a proton pump inhibitor prilosec . I took it for 4 days and had horrible vomiting and diarrhea and stopped the treatment .

that did my colonoscopy to see if he had any suggestions of what I could take for relief and he informed me a letter was sent to my house saying I had H. Pylori stomach infection back on Feb 25th, but I never received that because they sent it to the wrong address and no one ever contacted me about it. I'm now on a series of antibiotics and Prevacid. The blood work all came back fine except tested positive for the H. Plyori infection, however i tested negative during the endoscopy. But i was still taking the priolsec before the endoscopy. What could be wrong with me. Can i still have the infection? During the endoscopy they found mild Gastritis. Doctors suggest i stay on Prilosec for another month (i dont think it helps, it does but doesn't) i go back in february some time.

Just diagnosed with it myself. Just wondering though. What were your sons symptoms prior to the HP diagnosis? Did he have a lot of stomach aches?
