Avatar f tn Can a normal sized cyst on one overy cause a distended stomach and weight gain?
Avatar f tn I was suppose to go for exporitory surgery for the mass that was found on my right ovary but they found it to be cancer and opted, with my consent, to do a total hysterectomy. My doctor, who is a OB/GYN, preformed the surgery and after placed me on Premarin. I was worried after finding out all the health issues around premerin, especially the blood clots, since my mom died of that several years after her hysterectomy.
Avatar n tn You might want to get your thyroid function tested to make sure it is just the lack of (I think) progesterone that is causing your weight gain and not hypothyroidism.
Avatar n tn I have been reading about Premarin and it can likely cause the problem. I would like to get off Premarin and take a natural hormone replacement, or should I stay on the Premarin. What do you think about that and just how do I do that? I know I shouldn't just quit taking it suddenly.
Avatar f tn Emotionally and physically. There are so many changes my body has gone through. I have experienced weight gain, mood swings, leg cramps, fatigue and loss of interest in life. I have been taking Premarin a low dose. I just stopped taking it since I don't think it's helping anyways. Any suggestions on hormones or no hormones? Or alternatives?
Avatar n tn So she told me to have a Premarin 0.625MG and deviry 10MG. Premarin should take from 5th Day till 25st Day and Deviry from 19th till 25th .. After three month the size of uterus has not increased much so Dr suggested us to have 2 Premarin . But she is not having her period from last three Months. Avatar f tn An ultrasound revealed a growth on my thyroid, but the endocrinologist said it didn't have "the signs" of a cancerous growth, and it's small, so they're just keeping an eye on it. Meanwhile, he put me on 25mcg of levothyroxine, which made me crazy, so he allowed me to cut the pill in half. For 2-1/2 weeks, I've been taking half doses first thing in the morning and then waiting two hours to eat. I then take all my vitamins, including zinc and selenium and Acai.
Avatar f tn What are the reference ranges on your FT4 and TT3? Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. Do you have any hypER symptoms? Intolerance to heat? Diarrhea? Insomnia? Anxiety? Elevated heart rate or blood pressure? Were you trying to lose weight over the paswt year?

778044 tn?1299542934 Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound, the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I was wondering why i should be given premarin? I have read that premarin is mainly estrogen.. Do i need to continuously use this product? Avatar f tn Hello sir, I received a full hysterectomy in 2004 and I have been in menopause every since. I have tried every over-the-counter remedy known. I also tried a very low dose of hormones and got sick with them. I am really trying to figure out a way for the " hot flashes", mood swings, and weight gain to taper off. I am 41and I am experiencing excessive facial hair, as well as body hair. This has been the worst experience for me. Do you have any suggestions for me?
Avatar f tn So I'm 7 weeks and my doctor has told me not to gain any weight until 20 weeks. This is starting to stress me out as the morning sickness is kicking my butt and the only thing that helps is to snack all day. I feel like it will be impossible to not gain anything for the first 5 months! Should I just ignore my doctors wishes? Or do you really think it's possible to gain no weight for that long. I don't even know why she is suggesting this.
7159675 tn?1397442207 I have a list from my doctor for weight gain if you were considered a healthy weight its 25-35, underweight is 30-40, and overweight is 15-25 I gained 49 pounds with my first and only 27 with my second especially if it's your first child gaining 23 pounds in 7 months is not bad at all
Avatar f tn I am not depressed or anything like that so i do not need those type medications. And even more so, I now am experiencing weight gain and all kinds of other symptoms. Please help with any and all suggestions. My doctor thinks that "in time" the symptoms will begin to subside. Well, I need help today. The emotional roller coaster is becoming to much and its affecting everyday lifestyle. i do workout 4 times a week. I have heard diet has alot to do with it as well.
Avatar m tn I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). I have been tortured since stopping my premarin regime. I don't think I have had a full nights sleep since - in fact last evening the first wake up was at 3:38 and then I had 5 more flashes before I finally got out of bed and started my day with more flashes. My gen practioner has suggested prozac ... sorry but that seems a bit severe.
Avatar f tn I finally convinced my gp doctor to check my hormone levels and according to the nurse they came back normal. My gp doctor had already prescribed Premarin for me to take at .3mg. daily. I have not had a hysterectomy. He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes.
Avatar n tn If the premarin cream causes a yeast infection should I stop useing it(the premarin cream) or keep useing it. I read somewhere that you should continue useing it to get rid of the yeast infection. I am a bit confused.
Avatar f tn Hi Ladies ~ I saw my NP and told her my myriad of symptoms, sudden weight gain (November 166 to today 192), mood swings, constant crying for no reason, sex drive...whats that, anxiety, heart palps, hot flashes, and the list goes on. And she said, you just turned 40 - Welcome to Womenhood - Your in premenopause!! Yeah...Lucky me. I had a partial hysterectomy in Feb 2000 (left the ovaries) so she explained that "Surgical Menopause" hits you harder and stronger...
Avatar f tn Most of the weight you gain in pregnancy is in the third trimester. If you're only 27 weeks and have already gained that much then your doctor is probably just very concerned that you're likely to top 80 lbs total weight gain by the time you give birth. That's not healthy. It's not good for you and it's not good for your baby.
Avatar n tn Can I use Premarin cream along with a yeast medication(Diflucan)? Does the moisture in the Premarin cream keep a yeast infection from healing?
691935 tn?1421027090 My doctor has instructed me to stop taking Premarin because of my age of 65 years due to cancer risks. I also learned that by turning 65 (in the U.S.) insurance will no longer cover. As with most women related issues, we don't count. I started Premarin after a total hysterectomy at age 35. Anyway, I'm experiencing heart palpitations, heat ache, body aches, night sweats, and loud ringing in the ears.
5441854 tn?1371187494 Well how tall are you? 186 actually doesnt seem to bad seeing as how youre almost done!
Avatar f tn Please read it, and DO ask your doctor about prescribing Premarin while you still have your uterus. I provided a link to an FDA website that talks about it. As for the anxiety, do yourself a favor and give Wisdom Menopause Formula a try. It has made a huge difference for me, and it took care of the hot flashes and night sweats as well. I know six or eight women who are taking it, and I've heard nothing but praise. Please let us know what your doctor says!
5110781 tn?1378361950 I gained 70 pounds with my first and the doctor makes you feel uncomfortable You shouldn't have to subject yourself to that
