OK, so I went to the doctor because I initially had discharge (lasted a day or two) and itching (alot of itching) and a few small bumps on my labia mostly and vaginal area. The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working.

doc advice me to use both clotrimazole vaginal gel and conjugated estrogens csd vaginal cream (Premarin) . i don't know how to use?? can i use one over another or should i mix both in an applicator?? i also want to know what is this premarin for??? Other information - i had removed uterus 6 year ago.these days facing problem like sagging skin in vagina. please reply...

I was told not to take any herbal agents, soy etc. The physician did say that premarin vaginal cream 3 x per week would be okay. I am concerned. I have been told allot of different things. Do I risk taking the cream? Is it absorbed just locally? What is your suggestion.

She did a swab test to rule out yeast and bacteria. No std! She gave me Premarin cream to be applied topically at night time (pea size) to the area. In Canada, after many years of taking Premarin, my doctor replaced this prescription with something labeled CES on the label. He told me that CES was a synthetic form of estrogen. Now that I've moved to Mexico, my doctor here doesn't know what I'm talking about and has put me back on Premarin, which is very expensive here. So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. Are you saying that it could be related to my period itself, and the placebo pills, even adding the Premarin? Hmm, but that's monthly, too. ve found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..it's in a pale green and white tube though.

My NP said Premarin was expensive, I will check into Wild yam cream, probably cheaper.
