Avatar f tn I was told not to take any herbal agents, soy etc. The physician did say that premarin vaginal cream 3 x per week would be okay. I am concerned. I have been told allot of different things. Do I risk taking the cream? Is it absorbed just locally? What is your suggestion.
Avatar f tn So, she said that doing LEEP or crytology is not an option. She gave me Premarin Cream to use 3 times weekly and wants me to come back in June for a repeat paap smear. Any ideas on alternate treatment?
Avatar n tn Can I use Premarin cream along with a yeast medication(Diflucan)? Does the moisture in the Premarin cream keep a yeast infection from healing?
Avatar n tn If the premarin cream causes a yeast infection should I stop useing it(the premarin cream) or keep useing it. I read somewhere that you should continue useing it to get rid of the yeast infection. I am a bit confused.

Avatar f tn said that in the area that burns my skin is down to the blood capillaries with almost no protection, hence the burning. I was already using premarin cream nightly, but he switched me to VagFem tabs & Estrace cream to apply directly on the "bad area." I reacted to something in the estrace & the inflammation & burning got worse.
Avatar f tn OK, so I went to the doctor because I initially had discharge (lasted a day or two) and itching (alot of itching) and a few small bumps on my labia mostly and vaginal area. The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working.

Avatar f tn 56 year old, healthy woman taking .5g of Premarin Cream one time per week to address vaginal dryness. Looking for an alternative with less expense, as I do not have health insurance. Any help appreciated. Thank you!
405614 tn?1329144114 So, it could be not the Premarin, since I take that every month, and the premarin cream I've added isn't a large amount. Are you saying that it could be related to my period itself, and the placebo pills, even adding the Premarin? Hmm, but that's monthly, too. Or, it may be the sinus issue acting up again, or just something that can't be named.
Avatar f tn The Pedi perscribed her a cream called premarin for me to apply to the affected area 2x a day until I saw that it was getting better then to continue it until it had corrected itself. Well, I stopped putting the cream on my daughter about month into using it because I had noticed that she was starting to get a lot of peach fuzz in the area. I stopped using the cream but the hair is still there and now sone are turning brown!
Avatar f tn My NP said Premarin was expensive, I will check into Wild yam cream, probably cheaper. Plus, I was given hormone pills, I feel I don't need them, so I quit taking them ( atrophic ) did I phrase that correctly? Again, A HUGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE! You should of read the other one response I got. I deleted it, give you an idea of the answer?
Avatar f tn I was instructed to stop taking my Premarin (lowest dose), for 6 months at a time for fear of Heart related issues. I have done it before, but experience dryness. I had my hysterectomy in 03 (I'm 46), and haven't had intercourse now for almost two years (for several reasons). For whom this concerns; I've been suggested to try premarin creams, but how often do I use it and do they work?
Avatar f tn I have severe vaginal burning from dryness why don't I hear to much about this it's always about painful sex I am not having sex dr put me on Premarin cream and it's is not helping and the burning is still there and lots of anxiety can anyone help?
1168718 tn?1464983535 I was put on Premarin cream a little while ago, and thought that might be it, ( though it may be) , but checked on the MS site, and found out that it is VERY common with us ladies with MS. So, anyone out there willing to share this?? Thought maybe it was just stress and stuff , and that things would calm down, but I own part shares in the Canesten factory, and I don't want to keep using it if it is another cause. Let me know OK????
Avatar m tn hi there i have the same issue and my dr prescribed some premarin cream...it is for dryness...the cream is supposed to make your female parts more supple and thick...also, once that is fixed, you only have to insert it 2-3 times a week,,,very easy to use...also is supposed to help with O problems....it is an insertable estrogen cream...you dhould try it oiut....good vluck...
Avatar f tn (** If you do go back to your doctor, ask for samples of either the Premrin cream or Estrace cream because I know the cream can be very expensive.) Maybe you are having a reaction to the Premrin cream?? A more complete hormone therapy may be beneficial - it should definitely help with the vaginal dryness. I can give you a lot of information on hormone options and information if you like - just let me know. send me a note or email. Sorry this has been so frustrating for you.
Avatar n tn ve read indicate that Premarin prevents the thyroid from working properly, and Progesterone cream is beneficial. I just wanted to mention this because it may be of help. I am going to look into it further myself.
1391312 tn?1421086993 Has anyone been told they have this? I am itching and burning and the Premarin estrogen cream I just started is helping yet, who has had help with other meds in the process?
Avatar n tn t immediately go through any symptoms like hot flashes that kind of stuff. It was about a week before I started premarin because my dr wanted me to take it. I took it for several years and then took myself off. I am now 45. I have not had estrogen since 2015. Insomnia is bad, anxiety is higher, and depression has been around more. Nothing in my life has changed. I don't know why I all of a sudden I don't feel like my old self. I am going to see my old Gyn on Monday.
Avatar n tn My daughter was born with the same problem. I had taken her to her doctor and was prescribed Premarin cream which caused it to open but it then closed up again. Her doctor said he did some research on this and that it will open on it's own during puberty. I hope so because I am scared to death of her starting to menstrate and it won't be able to come out. I can't imagine what would happen to her of that ever happened.
Avatar n tn After 2 days of taking Prempro I decided not for me. I think I need Progesterone and would like to know if others use the cream and what brand. Or any advice appreciated. Thank- you.
Avatar n tn Her pediatrician precribed her the hormone cream premarin and it fixed the problem. It was a hormonal imbalance and she needed the extra hormones to help her vagina grow right. Good luck with the little one, get her to DR ASAP!
Avatar f tn She did a swab test to rule out yeast and bacteria. No std! She gave me Premarin cream to be applied topically at night time (pea size) to the area. It has been two weeks and I don't really have much relief. I have not been intimate for about three weeks....Has anyone had an experience like this? What did your doc suggest? I sent my GYN an email today telling her how I feel, have a follow up in 11 days, but don't think I can wait that long. Have not heard from her as of yet.
