premarin and breast growth

I have been told it could be due to the anesthesia that I was given for several surgeries or the lack of Estrogen. Could I safely resume taking Premarin in the hopes that it would create some new hair growth? Thanks so much... Anyone who has been on Lupron, Premarin and Medroxy ever experience sore breasts and increase in breast size? My boobs have gotten bigger and are like constantly sore!!! Hurts to take off my bra!! Please help!!!

partial mastectomy, 24/35 lymph nodes removed and all clear except cancer in entranceway to 1st lymph node I had chemo, radiation, and then Tamoxifen for 5 yrs. I took the 1/2 pill with great caution as my mom took premarin for many years and ended up with breast cancer which eventually took her life 5 years ago). Estrogens affect many areas of the body. They DO cause growth and development of the sexual organs. Which is probably why they prescribed it....to help her development along so the labia would no longer be fused. Estrogens also help maintain female sexual characteristics, such as hips/breasts, pubic hair and armpit hair. They also increase cervical secretions (which helps menopausal women when they are "dry") and growth of the uterine lining.

It may be feeding of estrogen and this would mean that you would have to get off the premarin and likely even take an estrogen antagonist, which will help keep the estrogen away from the cancer. or your doctor may just decide to go off the premarin. depening on thbe kind of the cancer, and it's severity, you may, or may not be referred to a medical oncologist, and even a radiation oncolgist, at which time chemotherapy and surgery would be addressed.

Jan 6/09, Due to difficulty with dysfunctional brain (no hormones) oncologist started 0.625 mg Premarin with Tamoxifen. I noticed a steady increase of hard bowel movements and bloating in my abdomen/pelvis. Feb 17/09 (43 days later) my CA125 count was 220. I am awaiting results of ultra sound taken on Feb18th and a CT scan on my abdomen next week. Why would the CA125 count suddenly rise to 220 during the 43 days of taking the Premarin and Tamoxifen? I am 73 years old I can feel the lump on the bottom of my right breast. It feels hard and kind of like a chord I discovered this 3 weeks ago. I had a breast exam 3 months ago and nothing was felt. based on the size could it be this was caught early? I also have been taking premarin for many years. My questions are how likely is this to be cancer. could it be a fibroid tumor or is that unlikely? Should I start lining up a oncologist what should I expect?

The thought today is NOT to take it at all or if absolutely necessary the lowest dose for the shortest length of time. It does increase your risk of developing breast cancer and most Dr.s choose NOT to prescribe at all. I would have a serious discussion with your Dr. about this if I were you. Regards .....

Hi, just wondering if anyone on here as had to go through a medical menopause in order to stop the production of estrogens which is what some breast and ovarian cancers feed off? I started one using a nasal spray at the start of teh year but did not last the month as it literally sent me crazy. Due to an increase in my ca125 i now have to start it again trying a tablet instead. Any experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.

I was on 6 months of Lupron and ended in March. Still waiting for my period to return. I was just given Premarin and agyestin to try and "jump start" my period. Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.

in 84 and was on vivelle patch for most of those years. Just estrogen and no progesterone. I was fine until a few years ago and it just got worse. I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound,the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I hate to tell you but I too was taking HCG back in November and also found a hard lump afterwards. It turned out to be breast cancer and I had to have serveral surgeries and am currently undergoing chemo and will follow up with radiation once my chemo is over. My cancer was hormone receptive, so the HCG made it grow, whether it was there beforehand I'll never know. I also have to have my ovaries removed due to the hormone receptive cancer. I warn any woman taking HCG against doing so.

The pain got much worse and I was not feeling myself so I stopped taking the premerin and opted to try a product I found on line called Amberen, so far that isnt doinganything for the hot flashes and night sweats at all but since stopping the premarin my legs are not bothering.
