Common Questions and Answers about Premarin and acne

premarin

These are some things you can do to help control your acne. Get enough rest and reduce your stress. Stress stimulates the adrenal gland and in the acne-prone individual, the adrenal gland promotes oil production which leads to clogged pores. Stay away from foods, vitamin supplements and sports drinks/bars containing iodides.
I also had a hysterectomy inat the age of 30 ( im 53 now) and have been off premarin for 6 yrs now..i do get alot of hot flashes still and my face seems to redden easily..I use organic skin line and take good care of my skin..I dont know what more to do...any advice??
estrone, a derivative of estradiol and the second most dominant estrogen; and estriol, a very short-acting estrogen and the least biologically active. The first misconception is that US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated drugs are not bioidentical. This is wrong. A long list of FDA-approved hormone products contain 17-beta estradiol and, therefore, are bioidentical. Examples include oral esterase, estradiol transdermal patches (Climara®, Vivelle®) and the vaginal ring (Estring®).
I am 5 weeks post op after hysterectomy but after suffering a few night sweats, my doctor gave me Premarin oral HRT. It is 5 days now and although the night sweats have eased, my acne has become worse. My doctor said that this eostrogen alone hrt may help the acne, do I need to give it chance? Is it normal to get worse before better?
Do any of these symptoms go away after taking it for a few months or is this it?? Oh and regarding acne....I am 38 and my face and chest looks like that of a teens - it's disgusting!
0 or thereabouts and great free t4 free t3 levels and all else looks good so maybe they raise your thyroid med dose thinking you're still a little hypo (not hyper) or have you lower dose in case you are actually hyper and for a short while you feel better or feel worse right away so now you don't know if you're up or down ?
now ive been off them for 6 years now and feel and look like ****.hot flashes constantly..for the past year ive had acne on my chin that will not go away and ive been told its due to hormmonal imbalance..so im trying to find out some info on this..ill pass any info along that might balance our levels..im going to the health food store to find out.
I left the office and came back in 1 hour. She took out the tampon and there was no blue dye. So she said no fistula between the colon and vagina. So I went home and went to the bathroom. Well there was blue dye in my urine. So I went back into the office where they drew some urine with a catherer. There was blue tint to it. So she said that it was between my colon and bladder. So I went to the Cleveland Clinic and was checked and they could not find anything. They even did a coloscopy.
Anyway, used the Metronidazon cream as directed for infection and also started using Premarin cream to try to help out that dryness and thin little walls. Sex got better and better. We use Albolene as a lubricant, no condoms, and lots of digital stimulation deep in my vagina. We found my G-spot girls. What a treat. But, over the last 4-6 months, have been experiencing burning in that area ... vagina ... ? Bladder? What all's down there? I don't have any repro organs.
My acupuncturist has done miracles with other female hormonal issues I didn't even realize I had... like pms, adult acne and years of being on birth control. I too must keep going to the acupuncturist and it is helping slowly. Diet is the key, please research Candida which is the diet that I try my best to stick to. My new mantra is that food is medicine and my diet is crucial right now. I suggest Healing with Whole Foods as a great book to read.
I have been taking premarin eostogen only oral tablets for 5 days for night sweats. I am 47 and suffer with acne. My doctor said that the Premarin might help cure it, however today it seems to have become worse. Should I give the Premarin chance? I am so confused, your help would be appreciated.
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations; 1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?) 2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum) 3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
I have a female friend who is 74 and had to start back on HRT this year due to hot flashes and mood swings..and not sleeping...
I've been diagnosed with PCOS recently and will start Metformin and Clomid. I've heard the chances of having a healthy pregnancy with these meds are 40% for PCOS women which isn't too bad but wish it was more like 80% : ) Just wanted to hear any success stories to help cheer me up.
As far as liver enzymes being raised or liver problems due to Premarin, untreated menopause hurts the liver as well. As far as the the creams and other natural options, you would have to try so many (unless you are one lucky gal) until you found something suitable for you. While taking Premarin, I read that we should eat better, exercise regularly, and kill the stress. I also read that we are supposed to be monitored a lot.
This is a lot of information, but please read though it, even if it doesn't all sound like you. I want everyone to know about this: An autoimmune disease called Behcet's Syndrome's initial symptoms closely resemble the herpes virus, causing vaginal sores, cuts, fissures, folliculitis and or inflammation in the genital area. Other symptoms develop many years later. It is different in everyone who has it. . Your immune system is in over drive.
I don't have acne, and I actually get compliments on how good it looks. Probably because I can't be in the sun. The lady who waxes my brows said it wouldn't be a good idea to wax just a portion of my face. I don't want to wax my whole face!! Please help me!!!! UGH If you know a name of a great dermatologist in Atlanta/Metro/SandySprings or Marietta area I would really appreciate it!!!
Drink plenty of water, eat a healthy balanced diet and replace any deficient vitamins, and consult your skin specialist if the lesions persist. Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts. Keep us posted. Regards.
I have tried many different birth control pills (I believe about 8 different types) and none has helped. Some made me loose weight and help acne, but they didn't stop the bleeding (I bled for 3 months straight and had severe amounts of pain where I was in bed days and days) Finally my doctor put me on progesterone and like you said, I had the same side effects (hair loss; weight gain; mood swings; depression; and suicidal thoughts) I would LOVE to get off of this!!
the makers of Premarin and Prempro. Hmmm. Based on hereditary and how many children one has had...body types...environmental issues...yes, there will be differences regarding reactions to radical hysterectomies (ovaries removed), but if you start to see a rise in cholesterol...blood sugar issues, cravings, bone loss, thyroid issues, difficulty thinking and concentrating (all progesterone issues...
I seen my GP today and asked her some questions about hysterectomy and hormones .. She Told me because of my age(48) and the fact that I am closing in on menopause anyway ..No hormone therapy will be given to me and any symptoms like hotflashes will be dealt with a mild anti depressant . She says here in Toronto ..Doctors will only take you off HRT not put you on them . Can this be right? I have read a ton of info online that says much different.
Drinking the proper amount of water also corrected a few other problems, such as fatigue and constipation, I had less acne, and I found that drinking this amount of water also caused me to shed a few pounds by curbing my appetite and boosting my metabolism. Again, this was after drinking up to a gallon of PLAIN water a day for approximately two to three weeks before I realized my results.
Gosh I hope nobody yells at us for taking up too much room or something...Mary that last post was so helpful. I am thinking YES Bi-est from what I have been reading. I just nodded and nodded as I read your post. YES I have a plan of attack! I was told you can't just go to a compounding pharmacist here in Canada, you need prescriptions, so this should be interesting. I read that testosterone can be dangerous (cancer causing?) do you have any theories about that?
I tried OTC yeast infection medications to no avail. I went to the gynecologist and was given Diflucan for one day and they took a culture of the inside of my vagina. Took the meds and it did nothing. The pain was still there and the test results concluded I had a resistant strain yeast infection. I was given more meds including more Diflucan and then Terazol. The pain remained. I took another culture and they said the yeast was gone.
This happens often and I have always treated it as a possible yeast infeciton. This time it didn't go away and so I saw my ob/gyn. She took a culture and found strep B, which has nothing to do with Strep A that creates strep throat. She said she could give me antibiotics to make it go away but then I would get a yeast infeciton from the antibiotics and then we'd have to use another cream etc. She said just to let it ride it's course.
He sent me home with Premarin an estrogen cream. He said I could be low and the cream would thicken and moisturize the area. They only opened up when I had sex. Very painfull. Well it worked. I have to use it on occasion. I can feel when I need it. I was 26 at the time I am now 36. I wish everyone luck who has had this problem, because it can sure be miserable.
Sometimes it splits in 3 places, and sometimes it does it with a bowel movement. The premarin seems to toughen the skin, but you have to use it every night, and refrain from sex for a month. If you quit using it or forget, it will thin out again. So that's the only solution that's been given to me. I'm thinking I should become the crazy lady with all the animals.
So far my mother just keeps telling me I need more sleep. My sister also had cystic acne for years and recently started taking vitamin D and has clear skin now. I saw others mentioned vitamin D so maybe my skin is trying to tell me something. I will buy some tomorrow!
I am pretty familiar with the common symptoms one can have such as dry skin and excessive acne but I haven't had either of those or any other symptoms. Like I said previously I am excessively tired but I still go about my normal day and I chalked it up to being a part of college life. This just kind of blindsided me. I am five years out survivor and it just kind of feels like a fall back to when I wasn't on any meds and had no thyroid...only apparently these levels are even worse.
Finally, I got my first af in August. It was light and barely noticable. Same with Sept and with Oct. But once I got the IUD removed last Monday, I have had bleeding episodes after intercourse. They typically only last a few hours, but I still found it odd. The good news is that it doesn't appear to have messed with my cycle.
