m on Yaz and i went to Hawaii june 2nd through june 10th and i was supposed to be on my period during that week but i double up on my birth control so i wouldnt have a period during vacation but before that i was sexually active with out protection and i had not taken my birth control at the same time those days. but i guess i was just wondering could you get pregnant during that time? are you fertile if you do that?
It is physically impossible to have an actual period while pregnant, just because of what it actually entails. Every month your body will build up a lining on your uterus to support a growing child. If the egg remains unfertilized, you shed this lining and get a period. If it does get fertilized though, it will attach to the lining and start to grow. You cannot shed this lining during pregnancy, otherwise you miscarry. The baby needs something to grow on.
If you had your period after on time and it seemed like a regular period, I would guess you aren't pregnant, but you could always take a test to be sure.
I had unprotected sex about 1-3 May 2009, then a period came on 9 May for about 5 days. I was on BC but stopped taking it before my period came on because my bf and I broke up.There was only 1 day of regular bleeding and very light the other days, mainly spotting. I have a fairly regular cycle, but then there was no period during June. Took a HPT and it was negative. Then in July the same thing with only about 1 1/2 days of a regular period and then just brown spotting the rest of the time.

Dr's don't know exactly what causes it, but as long as baby is healthy and hormone level's are rising.. There's not too much concern.
Yet I had an experience that makes me believe you can (and sometimes do) ovulate while pregnant. I was with 2 different men within 2 months of each other, and I got pregnant by both. My daughters were born on the same day, and although one was a lot smaller, I just figured they were fraternal twins til I got a DNA test. Imagine my (and the guy I though was the dad) surprise when we got the results that he was the father of only one baby.

Its impossible to have period while pregnant however some women will argue that they had a period during pregnancy because of disidual bleeding (spelled wrong) dysfunctional bleeding the way the midwife explained it it is basically implantation bleeding,the body getting rid of the old blood, or even the body tricking itself to have period like bleeding. But essentially to have a period you have to shed the lining of the uterus and if your pregnant you can do that.
Yes, though the odds are much lower. There is never a safe time for unprotected sex.
