You can have some vaginal bleeding when pregnant but NOT a period. A period is the shedding of the uterine lining and unfertilised egg each month if pregancy has not occurred - hence why you cannot have a period when pregnant.

If it was truly your regular period (arriving around when you expected it and normal length and flow), then it's unlikely you'd be pregnant. I would call your doctor ASAP. Or go to the ER. I had my period two days after conception so I wasn't aware that i was pregnant. It was a regular period so I thought. Hi ladies I gave birth 4 months ago to a beautiful baby girl and since then my period is wacked up.
