Avatar f tn My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 years. We finally got pregnant (our miracle baby) I'm about 6 weeks and NO insurance. Deadline for coverage was Feb 15th. Any recommendations for insurance or ideas Thank you.
Avatar f tn They do have a website with information for adult children that clears stuff up pretty well. It's nice change to be able to stay on your parents insurance even if you are married and pregnant if you're still young. I'm sorry the same opportunity wasn't available for you.
Avatar f tn Is this for Medicaid or your private insurance?? It sounds strange to have to prove ur pregnant 7 times, hun..:-/ if its private id wonder what kind of company your paying a premium to!! Goodluck, hun..
1365830 tn?1277997291 You should check with your local department of social services. Most states have a program specifically for pregnancy. Many of those programs can be used to supplement your private health insurance. I have private health insurance that is actually pretty decent as far as covereage but becuase we hadn't met the deductible for the year when i found out I was pregnant it would have been a lot of out of pocket cost so I applied for medicaid and it was approved.
Avatar f tn I want to get married within the next two weeks. He missed the deadline for insurance through his work, so he wouldn't be able to cover me through his insurance until next year, so would I still be able to have insurance through medicaid, or would it be taken away since we would be married? I know it's kind of a personal qurstion, but I'm very confused & not sure how all this will work. Thank you in advance.
Avatar f tn I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first but I don't have insurance... what do I do?
Avatar n tn I'm 17 years old & live in the state of Arizona. I am under my father's insurance (tricare) through the navy but my baby will not be able to be put on his. Any suggestions for an affordable insuranc, especially for a teen mother?
Avatar f tn My medical insurance starts in a few days..I am 11 weeks today. Went to the ER around week 7 and everything was ok. Will I be ok.
Avatar f tn When I was pregnant with my son, I was under my mothers insurance, I switched off from that to medicaid, if you put yourself on medicaid, and qualify, your infant will qualify as well, I didn't have to wait til he was born, I just got a card that said unborn, then my last name, to use until he was born then they added his name!
Avatar f tn I have a medical plan so Im going to see my gyn next week... Do you know if medicaid if available for woman that does not have insurance? I guess my doctor is going to tell me but Im worried about it and the appointment is in one week...
Avatar f tn If you already have insurance through them then no, or at least where I'm from no which is(OR) I didn't get on state insurance till I was 5 months pregnant because they said I was over the income ratio. So I had to fall below to qualify but once you qualify you get it for your whole pregnancy then 6 wks after here. Did you just find out your pregnant?

Avatar f tn Yes you do, here in the UK we have the nhs so we don't have to pay, but other countries like US don't have nhs they have health insurance instead so, like with our car insurance, if u don't have insurance or ur insurance doesn't cover it then u have to pay
Avatar f tn I just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant with our first and I don't have insurance. My husband and I don't qualify for Medicaid. any one of you ladies have any suggestion or know of some programs that could help us out? We live in Texas.
Avatar f tn Hey. This pregnancy makes technically my third one. Had one successful and one miscarriage. I'm afraid this one is turning for the worst. I'm still waiting on state insurance. Anyone know if I could somehow get them to get a jump start on it if I tell them I may be experiencing one or think I am going to have another miscarriage?
Avatar f tn No way! Call the mass health office. All pregnant women in ma without insurance are covered automatically, no questions. I had my insurance approved hours after I found out I was expecting. Just keep calling!
Avatar f tn No matter wat u have to get accepted juss bcus ur pregnant.
Avatar f tn Ok so I've been trying to get insurance but its hard because I'm already pregnant & I make to much money to receive medicaid. Has anyone else been thru this our is anyone else going thru this situation? Also is there any other way I can get insurance?
Avatar f tn so I just found out today that my insurance was canceled and had to pay out of pocket for my doctors appointment. My insurance company said that they had sent me papers in the mail and I never got them I've lived at the same address over 6 years. I love in a apartment complex btw. I wrote a email and now they said I make too much money in my household. I live with my boyfriend who is jobless and I had to take leave from work because I'm a high risk pregnancy.
Avatar f tn In Idaho where I live there's medicaid for just pregnant woman. I was on it with my first daughter & than added her to it after I had her ... They kept me on for a month after than I was off.
Avatar f tn m frustrated with insurance. We got this Obama care stuff-- consumer choice. I had it before I was pregnant. When nothing is wrong its great! $30/ month. But the OBGYN that is covered by them is 30 minutes away. She works out of a hospital that is not covered by them!!! How crazy is that! So due to bleeding and being rh+ I had to go to the ER with authorization from my OB. That ER visit is costing me $2000 because it was not covered at that hospital.
Avatar f tn Alright so I'm 17 years old, I know its not the ideal time to be having a child, I've heard all the speeches :P but what's done is done, I'm really excited but ran into some issues, I tried applying for Medicaid but my mother makes "way too much" being 17 I cannot apply myself .
Avatar f tn t have Insurance apply for medicaid ASAP! The Processing time 4 pregnant women is 15 days max so I really recommend u do that cuz u really should be going to the dr every month regardless of ur belly & baby are doing good cuz u anyways wanna make site it stays that way..once u apply for medicaid u can talk to ur drs office and see if they will wrk with u and bill u so medicaid can pay once u get approved cuz medicaid pays bills 3 months back...
Avatar f tn Almost 14 weeks pregnant and I finally have a Dr's appt tomorrow. So excited!!! Insurance has been such a pain. Praying the baby is healthy and all is well.
290018 tn?1240365868 I wish I had insurance!! I have to pay 3,300.00 for the birth. That includes, the birth, pre-natal visits, and post-partum care...but still! I pray I do not have to go to the hospital for anything, I hear it could be 10 grand or more. Yikes!! My husband tried to get me insurance, but wouldn't take effect until 18 months later....and they won't give pregnant women insurance (i think that's stupid). So after I have this baby, my husband is going to try to get me insurance!
Avatar f tn If your 5 weeks pregnant it's just your muscles stretching inside and uterus nothing to be worried about
Avatar f tn I thought pregnant women automatically get accepted for medicaid. Why wouldn't they accept you?
