Hello ladies - it has been a while since I have posted but I have been looking at the board and reading your questions and am tryign to keep up to date with things. I had my 20 week scan yesterday and baby is looking fantastic. Measuring right on track and doc was very happy with babies heart, breain and organ development. There was no signs of any probs with limbs etc and we gor some great shots including some 4D ones which are very cute.

The doctors wait until 20 weeks because of development. I forget what the doctor told me but there is something very important in development around 20 weeks. They check at 20 week a to be sure it developed right. My doctor always says that the ultrasound is to make sure everything is okay not to find out what the baby is.

A big thing is vitamins! Make sure you take pregnancy vitamins! They are a blessing, coz baby will take all yours.

My girlfriend informed me yesterday (4th Feb 2010) that she has been HIV+ since 2005. We had unprotected sex (thrice) between 27th-30th November 2009. So, this is the 10th week. I measured where I should have, at about 8 weeks now where as last week they had told me I was off on my dates by two weeks. Your health care provider might prefer to use the Development method, while another Midwife or Doctor may use the Gestation method. I am sure they do that just to confuse pregnant women. Hi I've send you a message but will post another answer here for other thyroid pregnant mommies. Im also 18 weeks and a Hashimoto's patient. Your levels will have to be between TSH 1-2 some Dr's even believe below 1. Especially during the first few weeks. Your medication should be adjusted during the pregnancy. Your baby's own thyroid gland starts working at about 15 weeks of pregnancy but your levels should be checked constantly during pregnancy.

The last us I had was last week and I go in for another one next week. According to the us the drs figure the baby weighed 7.7 pounds so they were concerned with how big he could get in four more weeks because of the history of my other two.

I went to the doctors today and my midwife told me that when she looked at my ultrasound from two weeks ago my placenta was low ( by my cervix ) and they couldn't really see how the spine was developing. I go back next week for another ultrasound, i hope everything turns out okay. She was moving around a lot so hopefully that's why they couldn't tell. Has this happened to anyone before and end up turning out ok?

I'm expecting twins too! Congrats. My doctor is going to induce me at 38 weeks as well if they don't come before. From all the research I've done it's totally routine to make sure twins are born by 38 weeks before they run into any type of distress or iugr.

I would say 36 weeks. I had my daughter at 34 and her lungs weren't fully developed so she had to stay in intensive care for a week bc she couldn't breath on her own.

My legs and arms just feel so weak. I have to sit down every 5 minutes or my legs give out. This is my second pregnancy and I never experienced this with my first. Had anybody else felt this and is it normal? Thank you in advance!
