The exercise and the doggy companionship, will help you relieve some of your stress. (and the
dogs) It is something nice you can do
for yourself, and at the same time honor your beloved dog, by helping one of her own kind. In a strange way, it may help you feel connected to the dog you have lost. ( I have done it in the past, and it helped me. ) If you don't have a shelter, perhaps you have a neighbor or friend who would let you walk their dog? Give it a try.
