Avatar f tn This uses actual developmental stages to divide up a pregnancy. From LMP to 12 weeks the embryo develops all the major organs and becomes a fetus. From 12 weeks to 27 weeks the fetus continues developing and reaches viability. From 27 weeks on the fetus finishes development and prepares for delivery. Here the second trimester begins at 12w 0d and the third at 27w 0d. by Gestation: With this method you take the 40 weeks of gestation and divide by three.

Your health care provider might prefer to use the Development method, while another Midwife or Doctor may use the Gestation method. I am sure they do that just to confuse pregnant women. 170623 tn?1242664063 I started cramping at 4 dpo and it lasted until I was like 12w...They came and went but at first, it was a constant at 4dpo. I never had the weird taste but I did go through the light-headedness... It all sounds very very normal...hang in there!
800427 tn?1324945719 i thought it was the 13th week but i was looking at pregnancy trackers and some people who are at 13 weeks still say first trimester so is it the 14th week? lol i cant believe i dont know this....but i dont! thanks ladies!
Avatar f tn Yes this is normal in the first trimester of pregnancy.
760797 tn?1303264540 yeah MH says "congratulations you're in the second trimester!" in your day-by-day pregnancy guide when you turned 13w BUT it doesn't show 2nd until 14wk on your ticker... I considered myself 2nd halfway through the 13th week because I think, by days, that's when it converts... but I'll be celebrating 2nd trimester on MH when my ticker changes over tonight to 14wk LOL.
Avatar m tn s my child but am still confused. is it possible for a child to be born in the 10th month? how do i count the pregnancy stages/months? do i include the first two months or exclude to get 9 months? Besides has she gone with someone else after me? Pls explain the fertility period. i don't want to go for DNA Tests coz i really want to understand the menstruation and pregnancy stages/phases. i am extremely depressed and this could lead to a divorce.

4114400 tn?1349923931 I'm wondering the same thing because I heard 12 weeks but this pregnancy app says week 13 starts your 2nd trimester :/ I'm 12 weeks 3 days!
Avatar f tn It Is different for every woman and every pregnancy. Some will be heads down In the early stages of pregnancy and will switch around, same with bein' In the late trimester as well. But It typically occurs In the third trimester, or sometime after the 25th week of pregnancy. However, It can occur several weeks before a woman's estimated due date or just hours or minutes before the baby Is born. So, It's really up to baby.
Avatar f tn Cramping in the first trimester is very common. The uterus is preparing itself for the big stretch! As long as there is no blood then you are probably just fine :).
Avatar n tn Are you planning on giving birth in the US? I would speak to your OB about flying in the late stages of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I had a lot of cramping with my first pregnancy, in the first trimester. Probably because things "down there" had never had to stretch in that way before. With my second pregnancy, I hardly had any, but I do remember waking up in the middle of the night once in the first trimester with some bad cramping. It was scary, but I didn't have any bleeding - and it had gone away by morning. I'd say that it's likely nothing to be concered about, unless you notice bleeding.
Avatar f tn I have recently posted about eating a lot in the early stages of the pregnancy but I have forgotten to ask is it normal to feel TIGHT and SORE in the stomach? like I have just had an ab workout, mind you I'm only early stages.
Avatar f tn The 1st and 3rd for me. Nausea in the first trimester, then huge uncomfortable belly and loose joints, plus several complications in the third. But every woman is different. This is my first pregnancy and my last. I won't do this again. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I think some people like to comment and post in all the age categories as everyone has different stories and advice that can help no matter what age.
Avatar f tn 88 Days left (April 16, 2014) I will be 28 weeks on Wednesday. My pregnancy really flew by. I'm ready to hit the third trimester in a couple days. My little man already has my heart♥ I'm super excited.
Avatar f tn Thats the normal beginning stages of pregnancy.
6991914 tn?1405466946 Possibly a stomach virus? You can develop nausea at anytime during pregnancy and being tired. What kind of cramps?
