I have been taking Lyrica for over 15 years. It helped with chronic and diabetic nerve pain. I have gone from 500 a day down to 200 a day. I cannot sleep at night, gained weight and have severe itching and may have suicide ideology. If there is another drug you can take, take it.

My consultant asked my GP to over see the swap over to Lyrica. So this is the plan. This means to begin with lowering the gabapentin dose by 300mg every 3 days (I'm on 1800mg at the moment) and then when I'm down to 600mg of gabapentin a day I start to add the pregabalin 75mg to begin with then upping it every 3 days till I reach 300mg a day at the same time still reducing the gabapentin to zero. Hope that makes sense.

I'm 21 and male. I was having arm pains which was caused by neck pain for bad posture on computer desk. So I went to the GP (general medicine) and he said the pain is for the neck, and it will go away and asked me to do some static neck exercise and swimming and prescribed 'Pregabalin m-75' to take for 1 month and stop.

Anyway just before we went, I had an dr. appointment. In short he is changing the Gabapentin to Pregabalin which he is asking my GP to over see when I'd returned from holiday. Also did a blood test for sarcoid, as I have had eye problems, he felt this was unlikley but wanted the test done. If that is negative he is refering me to a specialist for botox which will help the TN pain. So I have returned to find a letter from my GP to go and see him as soon as I return from holiday.

I was recently prescribed pregablin and have had to double the dose , but i dont think that helps. i am 55yrs old . Is there anything else i can do to ease this.

i am on 185 mg of venalfaxine i have been on 50mg of pregabalin twice a day before that 25mg twice a day since 21st may feeling not to well tummy trouble and so weak how long will it take to work thankyou

Hi i wondered if anyone could explain there experience of Pregabalin (Lyrica?) i have been on Gabapentin for the last 3 months with only a little success (the twitches have reduced considerably) but no relief pain. Now the Dr is going to swap me to Pregabalin which has to be done slowly to switch from one to the other, so this will start as soon as I'm home from holiday. I wondered if anyone had done this and what there experience of the drugs are?

I have an appointment with this guy at the end of march I think he will increase the dose of Pregabalin to 600mg as we have already talked about it. Talking about things we could do that are "super Human" 18 months ago I could turn a trip pirroutte and jump higher than any of the pupils I teach. Well now I can't tendu (point toe at front on the floor ) with out holding on to something to keep my balance and then when I stop, the mucles in my calf dont release.

Has anyone heard of Pregabalin (lyrica) for bipolar or anxiety? - my doctor wants me to try, but I have not heard about it before and would like to know if anyone here has tried it or knows anyone who has. Is it used as a mood stabiliser? - I can't find it on the web site ILADVOCATE recomended me a long time ago, does this mean it's not a mood stabiliser or just a new brand?

For some it will have the opposite effect. Also the max dose is 10mg so I would be really careful with that.

Anyway I had already taperd of the night dose by cutting it and was on the half for the last 3 weeks (only for night dose) And before two days I have stopped the night dose fully. Having only morning dose .I Also having Tianeptine for depression and Pregabalin for pain (but not helping with pain.I think it will help for my Alpra withdrawal on 7mg-0-75mg).After skipping the night dose ai am having depression and pain .Is this normal?

So my GP prescribed me static neck exercise, swimming and prescribed to take Pregabalin-M 75 (Pregabalin-Methylcobalamine tablets 75mg) For 1 month and then stop. I took 5 doses yet. But I'm having this following side-effects - dizziness, sleepiness whole day, lack of interest and and concentration, bad mood, sexually charged dreams, erection problem and lack of libido or interest in sexual desire. I have a high libido by default. But I'm not feeling it since I took the medicines.

so im nearly day 9 now and dont feel too bad at all apart from the odd sneeze.i used pregabalin for the pain and zopiclone too sleep at night.i live in uk and doctors here were i live are strict so we managed to buy a few here and there from street dealers.i know i was only on a low dose of subutex but i would preech to anyone to try this out if u can when about to start a subbie detox.thanks azza..

I started this drug last month.My question is did you start at the full dose or buildup to the full dose in 3 days? I am really anxious for it to work but still waiting on a miracle.I too have some side effects but nothing bad enough to quit.This does work better than Lyrica.
