Hi, As, I know about this drug than this drug is taken for anxiety disorder and also, this drug has been taken to decrease the Hot Flashes, and I am not finding that this medicine is use for brest cancer as, there are several other medicines that are used for this as, this is also called Pregabalin and this is a production of Pfizer. I had an allergic reaction to Effexor. Hot flashes, throwing up, face dripping with sweat, and such. I had a reaction to pragabalin, blood pressure sky rocketed and extreme swelling. I take Neuroton and it helps a lot. I can certainly tell if I miss a dose. I use it for neuropathic pain. It was less expensive too. I take 3x 300 mgs. I have taken higher dosages but caused memory problems. I am also hypo and take Armour Thyroid 300 mg. in the morning on an empty stomach.

About 30% of women on tamoxifen also take an SSRI for depression or hot flashes. FDA will add new warnings..and Medco is alerting physicians if a woman on tamoxifen gets paroxetine, fluoxetine, or sertraline. Suggest using one of the other SSRIs or venlafaxine if needed for depression or hot flashes.

Sorry you are feeling sick. When I first started taking them I didn't feel sick, I just felt "off" like I was high and confused. That feeling thank goodness is gone now when I take them I can't even tell I have taken them. I would call your dr and let him/her how your feeling sick and ask if you should keep taking them or change to another pill. Sometimes if you just keep taking the pills the side effects will go away. Every time i do anything that exerts energy such as cleaning and then i go to lay down i get really bad hot flashes

I want to know if this causes hot flashes with normal glucose levels at the time? Or with high glucose levels? I get hot flashed quite frequently and my temp rises. Sometimes up to 99.1, other times lower. I am a male so menopause is out. I am on Humalog and Lantus for insulin. Any help would be great. Thank you.

I'm 29+6, and I am having crazy hot flashes n insomnia. When I am able to sleep I wake up drenched n cold from sweat. This is my 4th pregnancy and I've never experienced this before. If you have any other symptoms, get checked for any virus or other sickness, but just hot flashes is usually normal. I have them, mostly at night, and our bedroom is in the basement where it's nice and freezing. Just stay hydrated and hopefully they let up. They should go away post pregnancy. Good luck!

I had been on HRT for years only to come to a point where a lump in my breast scared me. I stopped the HRT 3 mos ago and am now getting hot flashes where every crevice and skin is damp or wet and the heat omg... I do not want to go back on HRT to concerned now... Women out there do you know of anything natural I can take? I am on 10 mg of lispinol for high BP thats it..Thanks in advance for your help!

m not going through menopause, yet I have hot flashes randomly. Anyone else have this problem? Is it related to the blood pressure? I'm almost positive it started before they started me on any of the meds, so I don't think it's a side effect . . . but then again, my memory isn't always golden. Ha!
