Avatar f tn Since her hospital bill is getting bigger and the rheumatologist and neurologist on that hospital where my mother was confined is not accepting HMO card, I requested to bring my mother home and planning to look for a Neurologist and Rheumatologist to other hospitals.. As of now I am still waiting for her complete hospitalization records and copy of laboratory results from that hospital.

Avatar m tn I have recently started taking pregabalin for GAD and I can honestly tell that it is a miracle drug for me. It has been a week now since I have started taking 50mg pragabalin after meal. All of my GAD symptoms have gone. I don't feel severe anxiety, constant restlessness (akathesia), social anxiety, muscle tension, depression, panic attack e.t.c. Before that I was taking Zoloft, Paxil, Wellbutrin for sexual side effects, Inderrall for heart palpitation and muscle relaxants everyday.
Avatar m tn Also my problem is mainly GAD and mild depression has come with it. Currenlty, I am taking pregabalin for GAD. Wonder drug for me. I am little concerned with it side effects such as infertility and birth defects. Apart from that I am very happy with this med.

Avatar m tn Other drugs like gabapentin, pregabalin, amitryptline, carbamazepine are also effective and are relatively safe as compared to nortryptline. For more information visit http://www.drugs.com/nortriptyline.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nortriptyline http://www.patient.co.

Avatar f tn I had MVD of the 7/8th cranial never for tinnitus. I had vascular loop that the surgeon pulled out and placed a teflon sponge in place. I still have tinnitus and it's been two weeks. I had two days of quiet around day 4-5 post surgery. Does this mean that it's back for good? or could it get better with time. I assumed that if it was going to work it would have worked immediately. do you know?
Avatar f tn Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, and because of the potential for tumorigenicity shown for pregabalin in animal studies, decide whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother. Pediatric Use The safety and efficacy of pregabalin in pediatric patients have not been established.
Avatar f tn i've had Keinbocks Disease for over 10 years now, have had 4 operations each one worse than the last but nothing seems to be working. I've been taking TRAMADOL and PREGABALIN for about 4 years now but the pain is getting worse and meds aren't controlling it.Does anyone know of a medication or procedure for this disease that actually works!
479581 tn?1317757488 I have had tinnitus 24/7 for the past 2 years. The noise is continuous and doesn't pulsate. It seems louder in my left ear. My ENT wants to discuss a neuromonic device at my next appointment. I had an MRI which ruled out a tumor as a cause of the tinnitus. My audiology tests revealed a slight sensory neural hearing loss in my left ear. What is your opinion of using the neuromonic device for treating tinnitus?
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried this technology yet? I was hit with Sudden Hearing Loss (Left ear) Nov.2012. After a 30 day prednisone treatment (horrible experience), I recovered some hearing with terrible tinnitus. I did some research and found this new technology. I visited an audiologist who introduced this to me and I'm trying it out for the tinnitus. The Neuromonics device looks like an I-pod and plays great classical and new age "spa music" that is adjusted to the pitch of your tinnitus.

538745 tn?1213755988 I have a noise in my left ear sounds like listening to a sea shell and I hear echos listening to people talk or the tv.. he said ear was clean and gave me for two weeks Nasonex said if don't work come back..I don't have a cold nose isn't backup no sinus pain or head ache..is this normal to give allergy meds for ear problems ??
983008 tn?1329925830 This is exactly what the neurologist is waiting for and he should see you when the symptoms are most active. The pregabalin is just a med for quieting nerve pain and paresthesias. Waiting for it to be more effective has nothing to do with telling the consultant that you are having a new wave of symptoms. Please urge your GP to try to hurry up the appointment.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Lyrica for over 15 years. It helped with chronic and diabetic nerve pain. I have gone from 500 a day down to 200 a day. I cannot sleep at night, gained weight and have severe itching and may have suicide ideology. If there is another drug you can take, take it.
1664023 tn?1302961166 I have recently started taking Lyrica for Diabetic Neuropathy, I am on 300mg/day. I am wondering if anyone else that takes this experiences stiff joints or achy muscles??
Avatar f tn months in one ear and a speach therapist at my school recommended I check it out. ANYWAY, the good news for you is that he told me bilateral tinnitus like yours possibly is a better prognosis. Also he mentioned the POSSIBLE causes he is looking for: tumor (small possibility), fluid in inner ear, and since I just found out I have an autoimmune arthritis that could be a possibility too. I will get the disk from the imaging center and take it back to him at my next appt.
